I mean, so many amazing tracks for a 6-song EP. Above the Time, Blueming, Love Poem, Unlucky are all A- or S-tier songs in my opinion, and both The Visitor and Lullaby have their places too.

You will know in the heart as you watch the 'Above the time' MV how it is connected to the other song and you just like, instantly cry and be overwhelmed? @@jordansarkisian YES! I don't know much about music, but K-Pop did draw me in partly because I recognised something from when I mainly listened to EDM. I feel like there's less of that experimentation and variation in new mainstream electronic music though. For example, Zedd's album True Colors had a lot of it, but his newer releases are more straightforward imo. I haven't kept up with the EDM community that much though.

Im not nearly knowledgable enough to say, but im pretty sure it sound like a callback to the sound of You and I, especially considering the lyrics.... it tugs on my heartstrings a little extra bc several IU songs referencing calling out someone’s name as a way of almost saying “I will remember you. I will wait for you and I will fight for you, no matter how long”

Before I start the video, I got into IU right before Love Poem came out, and Blueming was my 2019 soty. I loved Above the Time, both musically and how it fit into the You and I universe. So many of IU's songs are beautifully emotional, and even when I just think of the storyline of You and I, Above the Time and Blueming I get a tear in my eye - the potential of the characters is palpable and the unknown of if that potential is lost or not can be heartwrenching. IU is an amazing musician and artist, and I'm especially excited to see the CMR reactors' reactions to the bridge. Boy was I not disappointed by the reactions. I loved that the CMR reactors could put into words and music theory my feelings toward this song. I can say that I love it and what parts I like but the reactors explaining the musicality of what I like and *why* I like it will never get old to me.

I reacted the same way too! Like what was that in the middle (lol i honestly wasnt a fan of this song at the beginning) but the live stage totally changed my mind. When I went to watch the concert live I understand why they did that. It's even more beautiful to watch her live seeing them dance on stage with the dramatic stage props and all. Please look it up and watch this live stage in her Seoul concert. It's really amazing!

This song has it all and it really takes you on a ride. As you listen to the song, especially if you have seen and experienced the music video but not exclusively, you listen to a story get told even though the lyrics does not describe the scenes. So for example the dance break right in the middle is so different from everything that we just know they have finally found themselves again and are in this moment outside of time. They’re happy and together. Whilst in the other parts you get a more quiet, pensive but hopeful melody, which is when the characters are wondering when is it they’re going to meet (the clock is still on the boy’s wrists). I also love that this song is connected to the blueming music video
