The whole “Press it” album is a masterpiece I think Taemin showed a more mature side with that album and also how versatile he really is. A BIG correction. Taemin has extreme natural talent for dancing. He auditioned and got in because he was so good at dancing.

Once they debuted, he could have professional vocal training due to the potentially huge embarrassment to the company for debuting someone who couldn't sing. Additionally, Taemin couldn't sing when he debuted at 14 because his vocal cords weren't fully developed at that time.

@@sophisticatedtwat9160 Correct. He auditioned at 12 YO (International age) and was immediately snatched up due to his phenomenal dancing ability at such a young age. Then, he debuted at 14 YO (Intl. age) as the main dancer of SHINee. Kai of EXO (Taemin's best friend) was once asked in an interview what he thought of Taemin when he first met him as a trainee. Kai replied, "I thought he was Usher. " and "I am so grateful because he has taught me so much."

I hope we get more Taemin reactions in the future. 🥰 I've always thought of "Mystery Lover" as a rather unappreciated song as it seems to get overlooked a lot. But I love the layering of the different sounds, the gradual build, and the beautiful harmonization of the vocals (especially that "harmonized riff" that they mentioned in the video). It is one of my favorite Taemin songs. I love "Drip Drop" too, but I wouldn't call it my favorite. But seeing this reaction to it made me notice things about the song that I hadn't quite heard before, so thank you for that. I will be able to appreciate it even more now. Thanks again!
