Like conecting the dots with this and other ancient texts and how they all resonate eachother in their fortellings etc .hard in-depth subjects to digest .a lifetime of perceptions to toil with also with great intrest.

Thank you Fr Dn Matthew! I am new to your work, and loving it. One day I’ll have finished all your courses… I feel “safe” learning about these through the context of the “orthodox phronema.” A KZbin comment cannot do justice to my gratitude for your work! Thank you! PS: the character voices really take class readings to the next level! Lol Yours in XC, Paul+++

Thank you, dear brother. I am very happy that you have been getting something out of these courses. The classics have both tremendous good in them, and of course a lot of bad. Unfortunately, most of the classes that one can take in the classics nowadays focuses on the gender stuff or the more lascivious aspects 😕. I try to present things in the way that the church has historically looked at classical literature, being like the bee instead of the fly, as St. Basil put it.

Never really thought about "bad" Ξένια being the root cause of the Trojan War. I find that really interesting! Thanks!

From the tv series supernatural one of the psycics had her eyes burned out trying to find out who the Angel castiel was thinking he could be a demon and she was warned not to look upon him but as she did get eyes were burned out. I think that was wen castiel apeared. Telling dean I was the one who gripped you tightly and pulled you from perdition.

In plain English Greek god Zeus was performing ritual, cannibalism by swallowing the wisdom guy, so the wisdom becomes part of him all over the world. Ritual cannibalism was practice until recently in far south Asian countries.
