Classical Singer Reacts To Black Veil Brides - We Stitch These Wounds (Album)

Going all the way back to 2010. The debut album was recorded in a commercial jingle studio in West Hollywood during non prime hours. The band was never satisfied with the way it turned out and on the 10th anniversary of the debut album, they released a re-recorded version called Re-stitch These Wounds. That version of the songs on We Stitch These Wounds is stellar. You can’t go wrong with either version. The original is beloved by a lot of fans, but, musicians probably appreciate the quality of the re-release. Look forward to you going down the BVB discography rabbit hole. Lots of great looks, songs and music videos in the 14 years that haves passed.

Carolyn was guitarist Jake Pitt’s mom who was ill and Andy wrote it from the perspective of someone whose loved one was ill and you feel helpless to do anything other than be there for them. I also love Mortician’s Daughter. For being so young, he was able to write such a lovely acoustic song that was simple but so moving. Love hearing you sing along. I can sing on key, but my tone is not good. I so envy those who can sing well. I play piano, so that’s my musical outlet. I play Lost It All from Wretched and Divine, beautiful song. After some family trauma, I’ve struggled with sobriety. I admire the strength you and Andy had to become sober. I’m still working on it, but am inspired by you both to continue to try.

Your look on AGT was so cool, but I have to say, your natural eye color and wavy hair are gorgeous. You’ve aged very well. Not trying to sound creepy; I’m 57 and feel more like a mother figure to you and Andy Biersack as I have two sons in their late 20’s! I just love this kind of music even though I’m old 😅 I appreciate you complimenting the fan base. We get a lot of hate sometimes because I think we were always in defensive mode for the vitriol aimed at the band, especially in earlier years, by the hardcore metal fans. I too think the fans I’ve met are extremely nice and accepting. I’ve met the band and Andy’s parents when I volunteered at Warped Tour in Andy’s hometown, Cincinnati, and they are all super sweet. Got to have a little time with them and see the show from side stage. Great memories! I know they’d appreciate that you are taking this deep dive. Fun fact: The voice on the call to arms is Andy’s late grandfather. He wrote In The End for his grandpa. He adored his grandparents and his grandma would come to local shows even when she was in a wheelchair. I’ll definitely check out your work and follow you on instagram. I think you are very talented and also seem to be a really good person 😊 Okay, I’m going to finish listening to this reaction to the album now!
