CLASSICAL vs. POP SINGING FOR FEMALE VOICES (Placement)

I am a mezzo with a very low vocal range and have never been able to belt very high. I never understood what the vocal placement for pop/broadway singers is when they can belt so high. Yours is the best explanation/demo I’ve found. I’d like to expand my chest range but I don’t even know how much is possible. Look forward to checking it your content. New subscriber!

Is musical theater really considered pop singing? I've thought it was a totally different genre from either pop and classical. Sounds really different from any pop or classical I ever hear.
