11 Chopin Nocturnes in 432Hz tuning. These nocturnes are accompanied by an animated scene based on the mood of each piece. The scenes were generated with AI art and then animated in After Effects.
The Nocturnes are in order from their publishing dates, with the exception of a couple posthumous Opus numbers. In Chopin's day there was no tuning standardization in place yet and different piano builders would tune their pianos on different pitches. However, Chopin's last piano was a Pleyel tuned to 435Hz, putting 432Hz pretty close to what the Nocturnes may have sounded like in his day. Chopin's contrapuntal genuis really shines in 432Hz because you can hear the whole overtone series which in this recording bring out the melodic strands from the left hand which is much richer than one would superficially judge. His use of space and intervals in his melodies reminds me of the different voices in a fuge at each independent range. The reverb is very fine also. Thank you for sharing this. What a gift! On Chopin's music rests a grace from God. I truly feel Chopin understands my sufferings more personally than any other composer.
