And who can forget that sequence from Golmaal (old) where Amol Palekar's character is eloping with Vindiya Goswami in an ancient dark blue Standard Herald and Utpal Dutt is giving chase in an Ambassador. In a Tamil movie of that era M G Ramachandran's character arrives in a two tone left hand drive Triumph Herald to meet Jayalalithaa. Maybe the LHD was to show that the car was imported.

Where was "Paper Tiger" 1975 with David Niven? He plays the Tutor to the young son of a wealthy Japanese businessman who both get kidnapped and Niven uses an abandoned Herald to escape their captors Theres also a Herald at the start of From Russia With Love.. where the driver becomes shark food !
