I love MGTDs. This film is a great discovery, especially the scenes with Cary Grant driving. I own a 1951 MGTD and two 1954 MGTFs. Delightful cars, also very beautiful. Guy in Columbia Mississippi

Spoiler Alert for the Netflix series “Ripley” 3:16 looks the same car , and ancient aqueduct in Rome where Tom (as Dickie), leaves the unfortunately brained (with a 5 pound glass ashtray and extremely dead) body left in the passenger seat of the loaner Fiat 3 or 5 hundred, of the actually wealthy but not actual playwright that he claims to be (as well as a failure in his little Sherlock Holmesian attempt to unbalance the indomitable Ripley into paralyzed resignation: a lethal overestimation of his money giving him an untouchable power; another example of the victim’s snobby and assuming attempts that finally gets himself murdered),yes, brained brutally and twice actually, the wealthy British tourist Freddy Miles who goes from an indefinitely extended vacation to an abrupt and unplanned permanent vacation - leaving his body with the life busted from his broken skull in a shoddy little late 50’s or 1960 Fiat 300 aside a road on the outskirts of Rome also aside the ancient aqueduct in a more rural area of Rome than the clip at 3:16 in the Italian film here.

Thank you, really nice to see. In the 1960s we owned two Light 15s, a 1950 and a 1951 with only around 100,000kms - both were British assembled with leather upholstry and a wooden dashboard.

Interesting to say that, the accident from the 2nd Movie that the Karmann Ghia appears, really happened, but was not just a Karmann Ghia, it was a Karmann Ghia TC, a version that was manufactured only on Brazil, and was not similar to the Karmann Ghia that everyone knows about.
