Tony Rominger. Bags of talent but very little luck. When he wasn't having time-trial punctures, he was being caught up in crashes. He definitely deserved a TDF win. The only rider who really worried Big Mig at his peak consistently for years.

Oh my…. I miss cycling. It has been almost unwatchable for the last 10-15 years compared to this. My first televised Tour was 1987. I’m Irish. No prizes for guessing who won that year…. But our greatest cyclist never won Le Tour 😔
