Only issue I have with this game, is the leaderboards have to be skewered like no other. The people who max out their weapons and defense are obviously going to be on tops of the leaderboards. Some people can't make that final hump. They should separate the scores depending on the upgrades the user has acquired.

John S Are you saying luck plays a role in a player's final score? If so, I can understand the frustration there, because I always find myself thinking about how games could be made even better with more skill-based fundamental objectives implemented into the core gameplay, but, realistically, a LOT of video games suffer from this same drawback, so, it's kind of a wash in the end. Goes with the territory.

John S sorta disagree with you..When i first started geo wars 3 adventure mode i wasnt bad at the game but also ive took the time to learn most of the modes and throughout that time ive gained all the attachments. With practice and patience its not hard just depends on the will that you have.

Honestly, I'd get both. Resogun is basically a new twist on Defender. Geometry Wars is a twist on Robotron/Smash TV/Total Carnage - all were arcade classics by Williams Electronics. IF you've played any of the previous Geometry Wars games, this is the best of the 3. That being said, both games have great gameplay. But in the visual department, Resogun has the clear advantage.

get this instead.. resogun isn't as great as this game. For one thing, this game has a 50 level adventure mode while Resogun has a short story mode. graphics wise, Geometry wars 3 wins too. You get some amazing visuals in GW3, better than anything Resogun had.

This game was published by Sierra whom have not only come back from the dead, but are currently working on a new King's Quest game! I sure hope they'll release HD remakes of some of their older point n click games like Space Quest! Actually, I'd also like some new incarnations of those 3D Ultra games from the late 90s up to the year 2000. But who am I kidding? I only getting too far ahead of myself! But hey, a man can dream, am I right?

Don't get too excited. The Sierra name is owned by Activision, who purchased it after Sierra closed its doors (in 2003, I believe). They relaunched the name to use it as a publishing division for digital-only releases. Aside from this reimagining of King's Quest, it remains to be seen whether they'll bring back any of the older titles in either a ported or new form.

I didn't really know how the name Sierra even got featured in the opening credits or that the current situation with them and Activision is still going, so I guess I really should of done some research before getting too carried away there. Still it would be awesome if any of the former developers started going indie and made spiritual successors to these classics. You can't believe how much I been wanting a new minigolf game that captures the spirit of 3D Ultra Minigolf or Miniverse, or even a new RC car racing game that has a lot of charm and doesn't suck! I wish I could revisit those games, but thanks to their incompatibility with modern Windows, I guess I'm a little out of luck. I see I've made a fool out of myself yet again, and I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions like that.

this is an incredible game but way too difficult. it's a challenging game but also rewarding if you can stand up to the challenge. There's too many cheap deaths where i got blindsides by some shape.

Unfortunatly the fact that I can't own a disc of the game makes it a pass for me. I realize that it is cheaper for publishers but then again I tend to play consoles long after they fall out of popularity and their DLC services die with your account.
