I suck at this game, but it's still one of my favorite Fighters at the moment. Just the sense of movement in this game is so much better than other fighting games. You move a lot more and hit harder. The stages are wider than most normal fighting game stages, giving you the ability to move left and right more, and some of the throws and special moves actually make use of that. It's definitely not easy though. Even on the easiest setting, I'm lucky to make it past the first 1-2 people. They always seem to guess what I'm about to do. I jump, they jump attack. I shoot a gun, they block or jump. I kick, they block. Then when I try to block, they throw or hit me from low where my block doesn't block. As for graphics, I dunno. I quite like them. Especially the character animations and background characters.

Not my favorite Neo-Geo fighter, though the art style is unique, to me at least. I won't mind collecting it someday. Good review.

the best fighting game for NeoGeo CD console. I almost sold my neo geo console on 1996. but When I bought this game, it was so amazing, for both graphic and game play.. then I love my neo geo and galaxy fight until now (2017)

@NeverendingTwilight1 No point? Mark has only reviewed Calamity Trigger for the PSP. The sequel, Continuum Shift, has come out since then. That means new characters, new modes, changes to existing characters, and continuation of the story. Plus, he's reviewed 2 versions of one Shrek game before, as I recall.

Hi Mr Inecom I dont know if you do downloaded games but you should try Scott Pilgrim vs the world. It gave me such a blast from the past because its takes things from river city ransom and the pixel grafics look amazing so please look it up.

I loved this one on NGCD, and have really been meaning to pick up the MVS one. The music was excellent and it has more background zooming than I've seen in any other game. However, the lack of shadow/reflection flicker in this video really bugs me (since only one character has shadow/reflection).

This looks pretty awesome. I like the art, characters, backgrounds, animation etc. The gameplay looks decent. They should make a new one of this, without losing what made it good in the first place like a lot of "new" versions of stuff do.

@artificialorange hells yeah!!! Waku Waku 7 is one of the better unique fighters on the Saturn, but I like Power Instinct 3: Groove on Fight more. As for Twinkle Star Sprites... I love that game. It's one of my favorite games on the Dreamcast, and me and my fiance play it all the time.

I bought this game yesterday off of the PlayStation Store. After seeing alot of gameplay I finally decided to buy it. The game looks good to me even though most would say the Sega Saturn or the Neo Geo versions are better. There are two main downsides to this version. All the character text is in Japanese even the virtual manual is in Japanese, and the difficulty in the game is ridiculous! Even if you put it on "Very Easy" the computers will still destroy you. I admit it was quite frustrating but eventually I got used to it and started winning. Oh and the game also has dedicated special move buttons where you can assign your special moves, for example Hadoken and Shoryuken to the L1/R1 OR L2/R2 Buttons but you also have to hit one of the Light,medium,heavy attack buttons for it to work this makes it easier to fight especially if using an arcade stick. I say get the game if you enjoy fighting games and cant afford to import or buy a Sega Saturn or a Neo Geo. Its cheap on the Ps Store. You'll enjoy it for what it is, just a fighting game.
