That's the way I felt because I never had a spiderman game until I played The amazing spiderman 2 but this game was so much fun I honestly felt like a badass as I was swinging and finally got a kill in the air

I got this game for $2.99 at gamestop and it starts of a little awkward but after a few hrs I was really enjoying it. The graphics are decent, the game came out in 2009 so it shows a little age but not in the way of graphics just older style games used to just be, I don't know, more retro I suppose. But its fun give it a shot you'll be glad you did...

As underrated as this game is, I agreed with a let's play I looked at saying it could've used maybe one more year in development to iron out all of the problems. The grappling mechanics could've used more work on them as well, and don't get me started on that ending...

Philipe Klemm Bought it on PC via steam through one of their sales. That said, I usually don't play games like this on the PC. I usually stick to 2D freeware or indie titles on there. As such, I had to get used to the controls.

Just wanted to note that when the HUGE BLUE SYMBOL on the cursor appears is when you are at the apex of the swing and can let go for the maximum distance to travel.

Let's not forget Steve Blum, guys. He also did a good job as Joseph "Super Joe" Colton, too, okay? I would have loved this game more if the controls were not so sluggish and difficult to respond to, though. The controls for everything BUT the Bionic Arm were awesome, however, as for the Bionic Arm itself (which, by the way, SHOULD HAVE REMAINED A BACKPACK-LIKE DEVICE), they should have looked to the way that they did the Hook Shot for the newer Legend of Zelda games if they wanted to do this thing right, or at least the Grappling Hook from Super Metroid, Metroid: Fusion, and the Metroid Prime trilogy.

Anyone else purchased this for Steam on Windows 10? I constantly get a glitch which locks me in place when pulling into enemies, specifically Biomechs. None of this shit went down back on 360.

Really enjoyed this game, the boss battles were epic. Also got platinum for it in one playthrough. Although it was kinda annoying hunting for collectibles since you can´t backtrack to get ones you missed. And if you got through an area and missed a collectible you´d screwed on the platinum.

After seeing some much hate for this game, It's interesting to see a rather positive review, it only has a 69 score which isn't really bad and your comment helps as well. I hope to get it on steam soon along with Rearmed. Also, i'm a fellow Old Bionic Commando Gamer, though I seem to suck at the game now. :P

And you swing. But there needs to be more room to get the contols. GTA has a lot of mechanics compared to the games you mentioned, so it's best if they gave you an open world to explore and get used to the mechanics of the game.

This game is insane fun when you get used to it. I hate seeing it get reviewed badly all the time. It's a real gem to own, I have played through it numerous times, completing all the challenges in 1 run, and finding all the hidden stuff, I had a blast. Now I am kinda addicted to Batman Arkham City though.

This is one of the most under rated titles last generation. I enjoyed it thoroughly on ps3 and Steam. Then again.. I usually enjoy these underdog titles more than AAA hits. which.. makes me strange.

Never did finish this, I remember the swinging felt very real, with as someone has said, a great sense of enertia. I think the reason I didnt finish it was alluded to by Mark at the end of his review tha dying sends you waaaaay back.

I think this game is awesome... levels feel very large but you need to master the swing manouver to enjoy them... and it doesnt hurt trying to challenge your enemies with weapons for fun... and for us old bionic commando gamers, if you install the rearmed version also, you can unlock spencer's traditional look from the NES version... great game... have it on PC, and I refuse to uninstall it! xD cheers!

It's pretty much it's own thing. There is nothing like it. It's a third person action game, with a -different to spiderman- real swinging mechanic to traverse the levels and fight the enemys.
