Joan Collins took Guilding Light to a higher level. The way she played Alexandra Spaulding was classic Joan Collins/Alexis Colby from Dynasty era. She looked great with Ron Raines, man they should have kept her on the show.

Dame Joan Collins was only meant to be a temporary hire to help GL's ratings, and she bailed on her 6 month contract after 3 months. It opened the door for Marj's return as Alex.

@Aarona13760 Yeah, but back in the day, Blake couldn't stand Vanessa either, and remember she and Olivia weren't even Friends but sometimes you just need someone to have your back. For Blake & Harley it was Cassie, and for Olivia and Blake it was Natalia.

I started watching in 1998 so I didn't see Blake and Harley as enemies but I remember India dating Blake's ex Ross so there was probably some conflict between them (though I can't remember the details). It's nice to see them friendly here.

Adam B. Smith I don’t know exactly when it was first done, but it probably goes back to the radio days of soaps. However, Days of our Lives did it in the mid-‘70s. Addie Horton had two daughters, Julie Olsen (father - Ben Olsen) and Hope Williams (father - Doug Williams). After Addie died, Doug married Addie’s daughter Julie. Julie is Hope’s half-sister and stepmother.
