1964 MGB Roadster - The Honeymooner

Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the MGB. Tim purchased this car from its original owner way back in 1965. He honeymooned in it with his wife of over fifty years, so he’s never going to let it go. Thanks to #mossmotors for commissioning this production.

Great car! How much horsepower did you gain from the performance cam and exhaust?

According to owner, not much, but oh the sound.

Original HP was 95-98 .. The Aluminum head keeps the heat down but if not ported, no change. The cam will do it some good but without higher compression or head work, increase would be minimal. Very nice, largely, original car. I sold my 64 MGB 2 years ago and now have a 63. Same 3 main bearing engine as the 64. I lived next to Pebble Beach in Pacific Grove for over 40 years.. the good years starting in 1957 when I attended the first race at Laguna Seca. I worked at British Motors of Monterey 1968-1972. Have owned 30 Brit cars to date. Excellent video.
