This film was based on a true case in a small town in Saskatchwean, Canada. It was on A & E, crime shows in the nineties on TV. It took several blood samples from the dr.'s arm, he only pulled his shirt up just above the needle spot. However, on the last test the nurse taking thee blood noticed it diddn't look the right color, there was very little blood left in the tube in the Dr's arm. Further examination revealed the deception at this time. The Dr. was also found guilty of raping his wife and molesting their daughter as well. This as shown in the film is not how you take blood with a syringe. I was a critical care RN and blood is taken with a vacuum container and tube. If it was taken properly the tube in all likelyhood would have collapsed from vacuum pressure. If you have ever had taken in lab or hospital, it is never taken with a syringe. This case, the only one I know, the Dr. ended up in jail with a long sentence where I hope he rots. Being in the medical field, I have no sympathy for any medical personnel who abuse their trust and victimize their patients. Unfortunately it happens.

I lived in Regina, Saskatchewan for nearly three years and although the people were extremely friendly but naive. Might have reacted the same way.

His step daughter told her mother he’d been injecting and abusing her at night for years. Garbage bag only got 6 fckn yrs.
