One of my teachers had a new one of these back in the day in white with white top and white interior. A couple kids in the school were either jealous or mad at him, and cut his top on him. It was the talk of the school. He was a very likeable teacher.

I'm going to say it probably had to with grades or they were just bad kids. Some got joy out of destroying others property. That's all well in good before someone gives you a knuckle sandwich if they catch you in the act.

Agree. Too bad its been trashed by the yard scavengers. Probably a garaged car for a top & front seats to be in such good shape. Bet the rear was taken because it was to. Too bad Benny you couldnt got to it when it first arrived. Been a good save with the 455 & tranny.

Whoa Nelley, 1975 and soon to not be alive. There were 27,652 Grandvilles produced for the 1975 model year and only 4,519 of them were convertibles. Pretty rare. Sad to see it sitting here. The Grandville was the lowest production of the B body convertibles of this era and production never exceeded 5,000 units. 1975 was the highest production year. We got the tag, we can brag: ST75 for 1975 model year, 2BR67 for Pontiac (2) Grandville Brougham (BR) convertible (67), PON for Pontiac, MI assembly, 92Y for White and Blue interior trim, 24 for Medium Blue lower exterior paint, 11R should be for a white convertible top, 05D for the fourth week of May 1975 production, and A65 for split front bench seat with center armrest. We got the VIN, we win: 2 for Pontiac, R for Grandville Brougham, 67 for convertible, W for 455 V8 with four barrel, 5 for 1975 model year, P for Pontiac, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Pontiac, MI plant was the Pontiac "home" plant and closed in 1988 after the last of the G body RWD cars and Fieros were assembled there. The 455 in this car is the same 200 HP unit that was installed in the 1975 Trans Am and called a "455-HO". Nothing high output about it, the Trans Am engine was the same engine as what was installed in this car. In 1975, the 400 was standard and the 455 was optional, so yes, this was a pretty loaded out example. I wish someone would have given it another chance. Whoa Nelley, drop top took a flop. 455 is still alive. Fisher code "2BR" isn't going very far. Poncho needed a new honcho. That's it, time to quit. Painted blue and it's over for you. Division 2 and it's through. Grandville Brougham is soon to go home. Going to be flat and that's that. Seat code A65 took a nose dive. B body looking very shoddy. Going to get squished and all of the B body faithful, many here, Benny for sure and most certainly the Google Man are going to be very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very pissed.

GM B bodies from the early to mid 70s are popular with the "DONK" crowd including a couple of similar Poncho Grandville ragtops that I've seen in other videos on YT. Like the 75 Chevy Caprice that you mentioned Benny, this Poncho will face it's end all pancaked by the crusher.

I hope you took the top motor. Easy $100 dead more if it works. Assuming it was still there. Looks like maybe it was from the short glimpse of the back of the interior. A shame that car ended up there. One was in my yard a few years back but it was bad, it was so bad the door latches held the rear of the body on. They would not sell me the 455 out of it. But I pulled the top motor, it was garbage, I mean it was so bad I basically grabbed it and it came out in my hands... a rough core and it still sold in a couple days on eBay for .. I think $75. They don't reproduce them so even a core is worth some money.

This makes me sick honestly. As odd as it sounds, a 75-76 Granville convertible is one of my dream cars. I know they are the same but I don't care for the round eye 71-74s If I had my way, it would be a triple white convertible. Man this actually makes me sad... On a sadder note, I sold my Camaro today, but I sold it to a best friend that will take care of it.
