Awesome vid! I need to come to one of these meets to find parts for my 66 Cutlass. Never knew meets like these were right down the street in ft worth. The rest of that number to the 49 packard was in the seat after you opened the door.

That nova would be a good candidate for a chop in half weld back togheter as a two door car.

I'll stick my neck out on this one -and say that those beautiful hand-winders in the '57 Lincoln Premiere are for the front vent windows. Pretty swish.

You can always bargain for lower prices. Sellers who price too high and stick to it end up carrying their heavy, bulky parts home again.

Yep. That's why i like to go at the beginning and at the end. Picked up some good deals when they were starting to pack up

@@ClassicRideSociety Yeah, the times I've been to swap meets I've witnessed old guys (like me) with arthritis and bad backs lifting heavy transmissions, cylinder heads and even engine blocks to take back home on the last day. They tend to be very motivated to cut their prices at that point. But you are smart going early on the first day as well since all the choice stuff is still available.

@@chuckster3629 any large swap meets like this in Oregon? I've traveled cross-country for swap meets. Went to the Charlotte Auto Fair in North Carolina. That is even bigger than this one. Have also gone to the Pomona swap meet in California

12:23 ................ That's either a '54 Chevy or a '53 with '54 tail lights. Probably a '54. They're very similar.

It's a shame old cars cost so much to have repainted these days. Most accident repair body shops won't touch the old ones due to problems with chrome breakage. And you always want them media blasted to the metal before putting a good paint job on them.

I'd put some "bicycle mount" wheel generators on that electric buggy of yours, make sure that you put diodes on the charge wire so it only charges, wouldn't keep charged but it would give you somewhere of a third or more range pending on how good you invest on those wheel gen's. That is the object, not push home... and those solar chargers do a reasonable job too. Had one on one of those buggies and my kids put about a million miles on (exaggeration) it over about five years of even me using it, even the neighbors used to ask to rent it. One of my boys put those wheel clicker things on it so it would make a racket "like" he was a truck driver/LOL. At first I was going to take it off till I thought about it and it gave their location away. Actual miles... it had enough to wear out a set of wheel bearings every year it was used. Then my kids sold it to raise money for some people who lost everything in a fire. Back then we would stand a house back up in less time than a insurance co., would need to satisfy a claim. Better times by far. I turned 71 today! So I beat everyone in my families life record in age. Gotta love texas cars when we say the "R" word. I drove a lincoln back in the day for a while and it was always cold (need to fix that asp) till I discovered the rear air vents off. It warmed up nicce then. Mine was a four door that I was given by some people who bought it new and then never drove it much then. Their biggest complaint was fuel mileage... just couldn't tose money out door... Gas was up by a fair margin, 62 cents a gallon from the 25 cents when car was new. Everything a car could have, light dimmer, radio channel finder on the floor and a forward reverse seat on driver side.. it had the very rare 60/40 seat! And because I had mowed their lawn and other things, they up and give it to me and would not accept money so when my boys and girls got big enough to give back by helping those folks. Some of them actually learned to drive in it and it held a shine... all black out,all white inside. My kids would get money from helping and by the way did this on their very own. Very proud of them.. Cool thing was one would hide money back in their home while another would distracted them. The lady of the house used to cook about four or more chickens for snacks for them kids. The oldest had them over for their first marriage... some have married several times. When I sold the car, there was little wrong with it, but miles pile up, cause it had like fifty thousand miles on it and when I got it the first number was a zero. Robin egg blue with white on white. The top was painted instead of the dreadful rag covered top. Dang it, I got to quit writing life on peoples page

That was a good read. Happy birthday 🎂. Enjoy it and hope you have many more. I am interested in that lincoln in the video but just have too many projects goin on. I know it would just sit. And on the scooter. It was a rental. That was my first time ever using one. I think I need to just buy one as it will probably pay for itself in no time. They charged $80 cash or $85 credit to rent that Dam thing
