That FM converter reminded me of when I bought one for my 67 Pontiac LeMans back in 1974 when I was 17. It had crap reception to the point I took it back to where I bought it and they couldn't do anything for me so I wrote a letter to the company that made it telling them of my problem and how disappointed I was in their product. This company also made antenna boosters for reception to plug into it and they mailed that booster to me free of charge and said they thought that might help. It solved my problem. This was the way good businesses delt with their customers back in the day. It's a shame progress killed that kind of customer satisfaction.

Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍 : Very cool serviced with a guy who got one just before he got orders to Viet Nam same color ! To see the car took me back in time, I heard he did not make it, like many of my brothers in arms at the time. 🥃🥃👀😎

Damn. If I was there, I'd nail the Cleveland, the trans, which should be an FMX, and the 9" rear for my Falcon gasser project.

Ford offered three versions of the same engine: the base unit with 166 horsepower, the four-barrel sibling with 246 horsepower, and the brand-new Cobra Jet (which debuted for the 1972 model year) with 266 horsepower

This is a cool car. Cool grille, cool interior/seats, nice color green, all around interesting. It would have been hard to get a new windshield for, but this one is still all there. Too bad this one wasn't saved.

Nah, that windshield is reproduced and it's easily gotten.

I love the first gen. There might be some guys interested in some original parts on it.
@googleusergp7 сағат бұрын
Whoa Nelley, 1974 and soon to be out the door. Yes, the body style changed in 1974. The one featured is a second generation (1971-1973). I think that sticker says, "Austin City Limits, Heading to Luckenbach". I think it's a part of TX and there's some sort of music festival there. The other sticker refers to a 1986 General Kane song, "Crack Killed Applejack". Tough to tell on the age of that Snap On, I'm going to say 1950s, but there's a date code on it that you're going to have to provide to be more precise. We got the VIN, we win: 2 for 1972 model year, F for Dearborn, MI assembly, 93 for Cougar XR-7 two door hardtop, H for 351 CID V8 with two barrel, aka "Smaller Slow and Sloppy" and the rest is the production sequence. The Dearborn MI plant closed in 2004 and remains today is part of the Rouge Complex. The 351 V8 was a lackluster engine, especially in 1972. It looks like the house it was registered to in 1992 has a fair amount of junk cars around it, so maybe this was one of them, although 1992 is a long time ago and anything could have been the case back then. We got the tag, we can brag: 65F for Cougar XR-7 two door hardtop, 4F for Medium Lime Metallic exterior paint, ER for Medium Green interior trim, 2 for 2.75:1 rear axle ratio, non-locking, X for FMX automatic transmission and 26 for Memphis, TN sales district. The first religious medal says, "God says it. I believe it. That settles it". Whoa Nelley, 1974 and soon to be no more. That's it, time to quit. The 'cat will soon be flat. Motorcraft needs a life raft. FOMOCO is a no-go. The mouse made it a house. Painted green and needs a dream. FMX is a big mess. That's it, time to quit. 351 and it's done. Going to get squished and nah, no one is even remotely pissed.

I had a friend whose wife had a dark green 351 Cleveland 2 barrel gas guzzling one of those. I have seen quite a few of those that are convertibles, so they must have suckered er l mean sold quite a few of those.

Yup benny that's a AudioBox HaAA that's a fm ad on..I'll take the rally mirrors too..and is that what you said it's a 351 Cleveland ?? Or a modified??or a Windsor I want a 351 Windsor..
@gerardcousineau34783 сағат бұрын
Windsor are easier to find, I'm surprised if this is a 2 bbl Cleveland it might be. The 266 HP reve to 6000 rpm, it did sound great. Yep 266 HP in 72 and 73. This at the back wheels, no modifications needed just natural stock power. Finally if this is truly a 2 barrel Cleveland it's surprising nobody took it.
