Excellent to see that he left it unrestored - it can show all its history now. Restorations destroy all that visible history

I was hoping it had a two stroke Detroit Diesel for the engine, still a very cool find👍

My first thought was that it was an aircraft "tug" used to re-spot aircraft, The manufacturers name also made me think it was powered by a two-stroke Detroit diesel Safety third as Mustie 1 says. Narragansett Bay

When I first seen the engine with the Continental 4 cylinder I thought Bobcat Skid steer. My dad had a Bobcat 610 that he left me when he passed and I still have it, it just doesn't run, right now. Thanks for sharing this story!

My grandpa had a 9N with the original aluminum hood! Lots of people tried to buy it from him as a collectors item. He wouldn't sell it. It was worth more as a tool than money. Now, it sits in the showroom of a tractor dealership, with the hood mirror polished, behind a velvet rope in southern Missouri.

Holy crap I've seen one of these things before at a small airport in New Jersey. Thought it was just someone's home built monstrosity, I think they used it as a tow for largerairplanes

I have a 1969 Ford 120 garden tractor. All original. Hopefully one of these days it makes it on here.

American history is littered with companies that went out of business and left nothing behind but oddities. This tractor is an example of that.
