The sound of Farmall M and H tractors are seared into my brain after spending my childhood and teen years with my butt glued to seat of these beautiful machines. Grandpa would let us off long enough to throw hay bales or pitch manure. lol

I used Red, Green and Orange in the late 40s, early 50s and the M was my favorite, being young I loved to put it in high and fly down the dirt road. The WD 45 would move right along also.

I had a Farmall M 1950 model in town too. Used for snow plowing in winter. I got rid of the twin wheels and installed a wide front axle. Mutch better.

Seems those tires on the tractor now are Firestone 23 R1. Best I can recall that tire did not come out until the mid 1960's.

Diesel huh? What's up with the carb and 4 spark plugs?
@roygunter32446 жыл бұрын
If it were a diesel it would be a Super MD TA, I live in the Midwest and here we had lots of M's and H's and still do but I don't remember a single MD when I was growing up. I only saw a handful of Super Ms and don't remember ever seeing an M with a TA. I saw plenty of 400s and 450s with TAs and I think I remember a fellow a few miles from us with a 450 diesel with a TA. All the TAs at that time were problematic, they tended to start slipping without many hours on them and were not easy to sell used, the price was lower than a 450 without a TA. I drove a few Ms and a couple of 400s and a 450, I liked the 400 and 450 much better.

It would be nice to know the serial number, there is 4 SM-TAs in the Fingerlakes Region of NY with consecutive serial numbers. Sure would be nice if it made it 5.
