Tie a rope to the choker to pull it down when hook is loose. We erect alot of steel and pole barns. This way no ladder needed.I see a steel choke which spring open when load is off. Keep. You guys safe....Great Show!

The simple gesture of checking the holes to see if any critters fell in is a true measure of kindness and compassion. It’s those simple gestures in life that show our true character. Keep up the good work Rick and Jamie 😊

First person that understood my stress about the 25 open 4-1/2 foot by 18-inch holes in the front yard. THANK YOU Sir. A Squirrel, Rabbit or Baby-Deer...or Yorkshire-Terrier could have died if it fell into one of those holes and went unchecked and trapped for one 100-degree day....Thanks -again . -Rick

Hi Rick; Thanks for all the videos....I have enjoyed every one of them. About 40 years ago I built a shop similar to yours. I placed the posts and squared the corner posts at eye level...when it came time for the roof, it was out of square by 4"....I should have squared the posts from the top of the post....those pressure treated pine posts are not always completely straight. Both the building and I are old now, and both still standing. God Bless Regards, robert

Nice to know things are going well. One thing I forgot to thank you for was when you changed your mother's headlights. I didn't know how to adjust them. Seemed like everywhere I looked, I was told it was dealer. Thanks for that. I had actually messed with the adjustment screws by accident and one headlight was pointing into the ground. Well, I know you're busy as heck, thanks for sharing your adventures.

Love your channel. Proud of your faith. Just for your info done in love. The difference between level and plumb lies in orientation. When something is level, it's straight from side to side, like a shelf that's been properly installed. When something is plumb, it's straight up and down, like the walls of a building. At one time I didn't not know the difference either. From one of the deplorables. WWG1WGA ( Found the definition of plumb and level on Bing)

cable on auger shaft used to lift and lower drill as it shaft rotates as a winch ... careful under Neath . Two speed motor allows dirt to spin off. Reverse drill to drill through asphalt so it doesn't pull up pavement. Had one of these digger Derrick s for years setting poles.I also made a 20fr jib on end to pick trusses . You may want to put concrete in a few corner pole to stiffen and keep it structure square.

Just a little Tip that may help you nail/tack, a bit of straight timber on to the side of the post as you drop them down the hole point that board along the line of the building. It's far easier to sight along that, to get your posts square, to the side of the shed. So your top middle and bottom plates, sit flat against the sides of the posts when it come to bolting them together. Hope you understand what I am trying to explain.

Rich nice to see the building. Going up.!!!!!!! Three things. You need to go get one is a Hard hat. For the boss lady. Just in case. The pole gets. Away from you. A real good screw gun and a big box of 3" inch and 2" screw. For all your temporary brace's you"ll have to do. Also you neeed a big level 6' or 4' would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am a carpenter by traded. Or get a straight 2x4 eight footer. Tape the level to the straight edge for your level. That's the cheap way. Go good luck with the building. JUNKMANDO

I don't doubt that you're getting a lot of smoke from the fires, but you are definitely getting all of it. To all who have quit smoking or thinking about it. If your reading this and are a smoker go to the next comment, this will just fall on deaf ears, I know I was there !!!. I quit 35 years ago. I quit cold turkey. This was my second attempt. What I've learned from the first attempt was, hate smoking. Keep back from the smell, run if you have to. Also don't smoke just one !!!!. this is what got me. one !!! - started my excuses, well just keep a pack out in the car, one after meals only, on and on. Just DON'T smoke ONE !!!!. JUST THAT SIMPLE. Not easy but - SIMPLE !!. Good Luck all. PS. The urges don't stop only gradually subside.
