6:41 - I had no idea that a rooster could swim. Mrs. Drysdale sure makes a big splash at 7:48. Also listen to the way Miss Hathaway says the word "bridge" at 17:46 and again at 17:50 - hilarious!!

Somehow all those Chrysler's that pull up in their driveway look way longer and wider than than they actually are 'even the compact Dart wagon looked like a full size car.

7:38 that raccoon tried to get her for real it turned mean If you watch closely you'll see that raccoon was serious it tried to bite her but Elly got him just in time. I think they had to ✂ the scene there to edit because it was being nasty with Elly also after she got it away from her. I think that scene was kinda dangerous and I'm glad they declawed that raccoon because it would've scratched her up.

To be fair even though she was "acting" she was being very erratic yelling ang waving her hands which likely made Elmer feel threatened plus if i was that raccoon I'd maul Mrs Drysdale, She was the worst

Why isn't the music on the credits the original versions of Jerry Scoggins singing the Flatt & Scruggs song? C'mon get it right!
@billthewhovian4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, it's a Copyright issue, the entire 1st season and part of the 2nd season are in the "Public Domain" (Out of Copyright) but the music on the credits "The Ballad of Jed Clampett" is still under Copyright so to avoid problems the replacement music you hear is used instead however, some DVD releases pay for the Copyright to use "The Ballad of Jed Clampett" especially if they have all of the seasons or the whole 2nd season as the rest of the episodes are still under Copyright.

The Beverly hillbillies were funny,but, there were times that the show, in my personal opinion made fun of country people. I realize the writers may not have actually known any country people. Therefore it was easy to write in things that were most inaccurate. Not knocking anyone. Just saying there should have been more research on how Real country people live and act. We are not as illiterate as portrayed by that show. Again, this is just my opinion. Thank you .
@jasonrodgers90633 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, the primary focus of the show was to parody / lampoon the excesses and preposterous vanity of the "uber-wealthy", when compared to the simple, practical, moral, kind, Clampett family. I can't imagine anyone seeing this as an accurate representation of rural people.
@ntrainride3 жыл бұрын
man did you miss the point of this show. all i'll say is, the "hillbillies" always, always showed both the foolishness of "modern culture" and the pure unbeguiling nature of the clampetts. granny especially.
