Hooker (William Shatner) now splits his time between a street beat and training young recruits. Working under the ambitious and politically-minded Captain Dennis Sheridan, Hooker and new partner Vince Romano, a headstrong rookie with a lot to learn, investigate assaults on women by a Bible-toting assailant and pursue a motorcycle gang that has turned to the arms trade. Yeah shatner got made fun of and he used his copious amounts of cash to wipe his tears away..on his huge ranches with his horses etc

No, this is far from Shatner’s worst! This was, at least in the early years, a solid cop show that gave him a needed boost outside of “Star Trek.” Now, you want bad? Try “The Devil’s Rain.” Then there was a TV movie, “Alexander the Great,” co-starring Adam West, who considered it one of the worst things he had done!
