Discount allowed and Bad debt expense or Irrecoverable debt expense are classified as Administrative expenses. I think it should Selling and Distribution expense. Please explain. Thanks AGAIN 🤍

Could you please elaborate why you conclude that a mixed basis is allowed? IAS 1P99 seems to clearly mandate a choice between nature and/or function.

OK, let me be more precise here: IAS 1 encourages, but does not mandate the analysis to be shown on the face of the statement of profit or loss (IAS 1.100). So, you can apply mixed basis in profit or loss, but then you need to provide the required classification in the notes. And, many entities do just that.

I read the amendment ias 16 .. You said that selling revenue from samples is recognized in Income statement .It is clear but what about the cost of producing samples ? Does it capitalise or Recognize in PNL? Thank you..🤝

@@harabaraaccounting-251 Treat them as inventories and then similarly as cost of sales - yes, profit and loss. They do not meet the definition of an asset.
