One of one of the biggest point flatter if there's make is the fact that you can see the city of Chicago from 50 miles across lake Michigan. At that distance the equation for curvature shows there should be a drop of 2400 ft yet the tallest skyscraper in Chicago is just under 1800 ft so you shouldn't see anything for 600 ft yet we can see the entire city... If water curves then we wouldn't be able to see Chicago at all from 50 mi across lake Michigan... Is there something I'm missing? Because the equation for curvature that I seek out does not work and I can't find another one to try to plug in and make a test for proof or unproof
