Hey Lauren - Florida Gator Girl ! So glad to see that you have had such a great year ! - I knew you would ! FYI - For any sticky hard to remove things I would suggest "Goo Gone". It works wonders ! You apply the oily liquid on top and sides of the thing you are going to remove, let it soak in, and move it to the edges so it will begin to get underneath what you are removing. Then watch it starting to loosen up for you. It is so easy to scrape off then.. You can almost peel it off with your fingers if you have really soaked it thoroughly ! No blisters cute, sweet, girl ! Great teaching this year - "mean it" ! ..... as you always say" (!) And much love, admiration and great respect for the way you financed yourself with VIP and now Outschool .. One piece of advice that was given to me years ago that was soooo helpful in packing up your classroom was to label all your plugs, cords, I take a picture and then label where it plugs into and connects to!! It makes set up of technology sooo much easier!! Good luck!!

I feel your pain in this video. Our school year here in Louisiana ended last week and we cleaned out our rooms last week and the week before. The first thing I did was erase the board. I couldnt look at the date without getting sad or angry.

Im in the UK and have been watching since the beginning. I felt so emotional watching this. I work in Special Education here. Schools are open for essential workers children so I have been in school now and then on a rota but haven't seen my class since March. Our school year finishes end of July but watching this has made me sad thinking about packing all their things up. I've been watching your videos since your interview and hiring process video! I am a first grade teacher too and just finished my second year of teaching! I just finished cleaning up my classroom and it was so sad to walk in without my kids being there. It was so overwhelming to clean up my room and I didn't know where to start! I've been watching you since day 1!! My story is kind of the opposite of yours. I grew up in Massachusetts and taught 1st grade there for 1 year. Then I moved to Tennessee and I taught 1st grade here for a year, and next year I get to keep some of my kiddos and move to 2nd!! Also- I used the same apples on my table from Target. The only thing I could do to get them off was Goo Gone and a scraper. Never again!!!! 🤣🍎

Hi Lauren, Here are some tips for packing up your room... **Count the number of chairs, tables, and pieces of furniture, print out your name and number on scrap paper and tape them down to the furniture. **I usually setup my chalkboard and whiteboard systems and cover/tape them down with plastic garbage bags or newspaper so that I have it ready. (I would leave your boards, magnets etc. up and cover them...you can always change them up in the fall if you decide to change things) **Cover your alphabet banner, if I change border, you can replace it in the fall. Remember how difficult it was to get it up the first time. **Pack each area in separate tubs or boxes. Label, label, label everything! 🤗

I bought dry erase circles off Amazon and they were great at first.. but then they got so nasty just like yours. I took them off halfway through the year and just had whiteboards available at the table. I liked the color the circles gave, but this made things so much neater which was worth it to me! They did come off much quicker though so if you decide you still want some, go to Amazon! Also..girl, we need more of your fitness routine!

The best tip I have for pack up is to label everything with your name and room number on blue painters tape. It will peel right off in September with no residue to scrape off.
