I'm very interested to see what you are putting inside their binders. I know you showed a little bit but I would like to see the manipulatives and such. I am teaching my first grade at home along side his teacher on the computer and that would really help me know what things to use to help him learn. Love your vlog. Just a note. Wireless keyboards fit under monitor risers, or most risers are designed that way. So you can just slide out your keyboard and have more room when you’re not using your computer. You could also use your big tv/smartboard as a third screen. If you slide it over to fave you, and keep the kids up on that, you’ll be able to read their work and expressions so much better. The little people will be almost life-size. Hope that helps.

That desk mouse pad is ADORABLE! Also, I did the same thing with binders for my kids! Especially when we come back for A/B days, they have to empty the desk out daily since they will be sharing. So I thought binders were the easiest way to transport things to and from home. I hate that you have to buy all of your students' materials though!! Great desk set-up. I am surprised they are letting you use fans in the classroom. I am from New York State and no fans are permitted (because germs will be blowing in the air). They removed all tables in classrooms for social distancing. You are so lucky. I hate desks. LOL, Best of luck.

I know it is sooo tempting to get that bulletin board all cute and colorful, but honestly, I would leave it blank. I have been doing virtual learning with my 2nd grader nephew and all of the kids are already so incredibly distracted, and I think if there was a busy bulletin board directly behind the teacher, it would be even more distracting. Also, on google classrooms, the teachers little window is so tiny, you can't read anything on the wall behind her anyways. Just a thought. Keep up the great work!

Girl, you have been out of the south too long. You are beginning to speed talk the way "outsiders" do! The whole speech setting up about the student binders was super fast! Lol. (Alabama girl here). I sooo hope the air conditioning really gets installed this time. Not just for cooling but for better breathing too. I would hold on to the new fan just in case the air quits working.
