I’m not a teacher, but my grandma was and for awhile that was my major in college. For some reason the past couple weeks I’ve really gotten into watching classroom set up videos and I’ve stumbled across yours. I’m enjoying your content for several reasons. I think I saw somewhere that you’ve been teaching for several years which makes sense to me. You have the confidence of an experienced teacher. You also have a calm and focused energy, yet engaging and … entertaining at the same time. I don’t want to say “peppy” per se, but I can’t quite put words to it. I did have a question, almost all of the back to school set up vlogs I’ve watched have discussed having to wait for the janitorial crew to be done before getting access to their rooms. I also saw how much cleaning you and your family did on day 1 - does your school not have a janitorial staff that came in and deep cleaned after the previous school year ended? I cannot imagine working with low/no AC in Florida!!! I lived for 2 years in SW Florida and we ran our ac February - December (though only low in the more wintery months because of the humidity!). Thank you for sharing your process with us all!

The janitorial staff cleaned carpets and repainted touch ups on the walls etc. Everything else we cleaned was furniture and shelves. It was dirty but not TERRIBLE... i just like everything to be super clean, especially to start!

That giant shelving unit is so cool! I love how all the shelves are different heights.
