Mix your dark blue and teal book bins to make a pattern on the two middle bookshelves. Then it will look cohesive and intentional!

You are amazing. I can't believe how organized and efficient you are. You make everything seems so simple!! I've watched your teacher life videos and I can't grasp how you leave so early and don't take anything home. You should have a job where you go around to schools and help teachers set up and organize their classrooms. I taught for 30 years and everyone said I was organized but you are another level lol. Keep the videos coming - I love watching them even though I'm retired :)

You’re not alone when it comes to cleaning and organizing when you are setting up. I do the same thing. I did a lot of cleaning as I packed up but will clean again as I set up.

I "finished" my first classroom setup yesterday (our school is closed on Fridays in the summer) and I get that feeling of just put it somewhere and fix it later. I definitely will have to go through my closet and organize it further but its functional lol but we dont start work until the 15th of August so I have orientation next week, a free week then work to get ready for school on the 29th.

If you are not able to find your wood strip on the bottom of your shelf you could put border on the bottom of both sides the shorter shelves. Also, I like the idea of making a pattern with teal and darker blue bins on the shorter shelves. You are awesome! I love watching your videos! I always come away with great ideas of how to be organized in a aesthetically pleasing way. Good luck!❤️

If you can't find the wood kickboard for your shelf, just get some foam board or poster board. Make a rectangle in the size you need and attach it. Then it'll be covered. :)

Ohmygosh‼️‼️. You are definitely my teacher twin‼️🤣. Same colors, borders, OCD🤣🤣, matching, tons of books, moving and redoing things-everything‼️working on figuring out Wonders for Third. I’m part of a big presentation of it next week along with our new B.E.S.T Standards-which are now called Benchmarks (I’m in FL). Almost finished with my room although I keep thinking of new things to buy and add🤗🤦🏼♀️. Will be watching for tomorrow’s video🤗🥰

Love, love, love your place value idea. We always practiced place value during morning board, but I think this would be a much more fun way for the children to practice it as well each day.

I saw that on the bottom of the bookshelf- if you cannot find the piece you need to fill in, you can cut down a piece of foam board until you can do better🥰keep striving

I have a similar bookshelf issue (the bottom piece). When the summer custodial crew moved it, they broke that piece! Hope you can find yours! It looks amazing with or without! Keep up the great work you are doing, it’s inspirational!

I’d just put half and half on the book shelves, so the inside two are the light blue and dark blue on the outside

I loveeeeee watching your classroom setup videos! I am a Kindergarten teacher in VA. Two questions: 1) Where is your standing desk from? Can you send the link? 2) What is the "bubble letter" font you used for your agenda and schedule cards? I love it!

Cute room! If you can't find the wooden piece for that one bookshelf....cut a piece of foamcore board to fill in the gap---No one will know the difference! :)

I used Wonders in Second Grade. I created a bin with hanging folders and colored folders. I labeled each of them with the story titles. I started making vocabulary lists and spelling words, for each story. I also made a vocabulary test for each story. I would add to the weekly test. I collected a lot of activities that would go with each story. All these activities I would file in the bin. I taught second grade for 21 years. We went through two reading adoptions. Now the district is using Texas Wonders. I focused on comprehension activities I created or found online, TPT, or in other teacher books. I would make changes if needed. What year is your adoption?

I just love your room and don't get discouraged! You are making lots of progress! For Thursday, is there any way you can use a different background song. It may just be me, but I have to mute/unmute each time it comes on as I really hate the snapping sound. I know everyone's tastes are different but I thought I would ask anyways.

It's so weird how everyone's taste are so different. I love the background music and find it more calming than most background music.
