How does all of your lunch counting stuff work? I haven't seen anything like that before.
@Dani-my3qj
@Dani-my3qj 5 жыл бұрын
Students take the popsicle stick with their name out of the basket and put it in the bucket of their food choice from the lunch menu (I.e., if they want entree 2, they put the stick with their name in the entree 2 bucket). Then a student counts how many students chose each option, and sends the numbers to the cafeteria so they can prepare the correct amount of each choice. Then the sticks are put back into the basket. I did something just like this when I taught third grade.

Hi! I’m just realising how different the class rooms at my old school and American class rooms are. When I went to primary (kids age 5-12) school all the class rooms have carpet and have reading corners with bean bags and pillow so people can sit on the floor and read. Please note this was just my school and I just thought it was funny how different they are.

Love the video. The wear and tear a classroom goes through 10 months out of the year is truly shown!! How you keep your classroom well organized blows my mind!! Waiting to use your flexible seating is absolutely smart because you have to do the not so fun part of writing your policies for them😩!! The best part is you can gather ideas for your policy from other teachers. Use what works well and discard what doesn’t. I had the experience of writing technology policy for my home school system when I was younger with my father who had a pilot program of laptops. We learned from experience of bigger systems to generate our policy!! I cannot wait to see your full flexible seating classroom in September!!

@Pocketful of Primary Ms. Michelle , This one came right on point . I have enjoyed Your Classroom Vlogs this school year because they give me positivity and escape and in some ways organizing ideas and I enjoy seeing you looking so beautiful as you do in this vlog . By the way , have you kept in touch with Knuckles , the one who brought you the noise , not the books when he was not into the lesson(s) ? When all else fails and the child is not into your lessons look into what the child is into or something that the child is seeing or has seen in the world regardless of how far out of left field it is and try to use that in some measure with your lesson so that you won't have to tell them to put their book or whatever away or confiscate or tell them to stop the noises because they will be so far into your lesson(s) that they cannot stop you once you start teaching . Back when I was an autistic student in school in My City of Shelbyville , Tennessee ….. Even My SPED Resource Teachers in elementary school had to learn that the hard way . With that said , I hope that you have a fantastic end of the school year . I am sure that those students will miss you . - Dwight

Oh my goodness! #teachergoals! I loooove how organized you are! My classroom is always a mess. I have piles of paper everywhere, things shoved in random places and I had to zip tie my desks together bc at the end of the day they had all migrated into a crooked mess. I’m SO SUPER impressed but a realistic classroom....this is not what I’d call realistic only because most teachers I know are not this organized and meticulous in keeping it that way. Do all the teachers at your school have rooms that look like this on the regular? Super envious and like I said: teacher goals!!!!

Impressively organized in labeled boxes. Thanks for you inspiration. I do use a lot of the same containers. The colored drawers from Michaels are awesome and strong.

I like your curtain for the windows in the door. 🚪 Your classroom is very organized... considering that you recorded this at the end of the school year. Very inspirational. I love the classroom stage. That would definitely come in handy in my music class. ❤️ 🎶 I’ve never heard that having greenery helps students perform better. Interesting.
