I love that you didn’t just talk about the table/dots, but also discussed some strategies. I’ll be bringing that stretching song into my classroom! Thank you!

Love the strategies you shared. When I'm not storytelling, I'm leading children's & youth ministries. Your small group strats are easily applied there, too. I appreciate it.

I use clipboards for students to write: I get the excess laminating paper from the machine in my school that comes out while teachers are laminating. I cut it to fit the clipboard and put lined paper under it and clip it down. This can be written on and erased. I will have student take pictures of their work and post it to parents on Dojos once I grade it quickly. I have been using this for years, and the students love that they can erase the dry erase.

@The Kinderhearted Classroom - Elizabeth Mrs . Elizabeth , Where have you been for the last months ? Has everything been eating you up ? With that said , nailed on about the one on one time because that is what I wish My Teachers would have done more with me back when I was an autistic student in school because I am able to process things better mentally that way versus having to learn things a general way . I hope that you are finally able to give Mrs. Coller a well deserved break and focus on being just Elizabeth Coller for the summer . Thank you for Your Classroom Videos and I hope that there are many more to come in the future . - Dwight

I would love to have a table like that. I may move my tables around to make a horseshoe. By the way, I love the Jack Hartmann song. You have a beautiful voice.

Love the videos! I have to say that guided reading is the one thing I concern myself with most. I’m lucky and have a designated half hour during my day where I have an extra set of hands and my lowest group gets pulled by an intervention specialist for word work/letter identification practice. I see all four of my groups including my lowest at least 3 times a week. I’m working through strategies and activities but still don’t feel like I have my lessons down. Could you speak more about your small groups and what activities you do? Maybe walk us through a few different lessons? Thanks so much! I love learning from you!

I love you vlogs! Thank you for sharing your ideas! I would love to hear more about the benefits (or drawback) of getting rid of your teacher’s desk and how you work without one and stay organized. I have been considering doing this. Happy (almost) summer break!
