Josh, don’t know if you are still checking comments, but I want to thank you for doing this video. I really wish Bish’s was closer. We looked at a Jay Feather Micro 166 locally but we are just not nimble enough to do the East/west bed. Our local dealer said we could have a 173mrb built. So come April our “Birdie” will be born. lol. We negotiated a porcelain toilet, large fantastic fan in bath, 2 vent hoods, over lander 2 package (2nd solar), heated tank pads, a convection microwave, a drop down counter, and a shower assist handle for my short legs. lol. My only complaint is that toilet. Take even 2 inches from that amazing closet for a bit more commode footprint. But we love everything else. If I gave you a nickel for every time I’ve watched this video, you’ve have at least 50 cents! I’ve become a Josh groupie and laugh at your humor. Keep up the great work. Your honesty shines through. And btw - we are going to use your suggestion of strapping down the bedding on the Murphy bed so we don’t have to remake it each day is brilliant. 🎉 Thanks, Suzy and Greg in Southwestern Illinois.

As to your question about the bar/stool idea - I know they are becoming more popular as a space saver, but personally, we prefer a dinette because we like to play games and a bar arrangement doesn't work well for that. And I like a window in the bathroom because it makes it feel more light and open. Most camper bathrooms are small and confined, so to me, a window makes them feel bigger and can also let in some fresh air when needed. :)

Love what Jayco is doing; when my wife and I move from a bunkhouse to a couple's trailer, this would probably be first on my list. Don't want slides. Don't need it to be huge. I like the Jayco goes to 7.5 ft wide rather than 7 which is where the mini winnies and geopros suffer. No way I can go with a full-size bed. The 75x60 in this works fine. However, Jayco is behind competition by not having an accessory hitch on the back. There's no way I'm getting on top of the camper to use an accessory rack. I think that's kind of silly. But I want to take bikes or maybe a kayak and need the accessory hitch. Also, adding that countertop extension is a must. Otherwise this thing's damn near perfect.

It's almost the same floorplan I have with the Salem Cruise Light 201BH and I'm planning on removing the dinette and adding a bar like table along the window. I think it would be a great addition to this one too!

This is an awesome RV for someone without kids or the could sleep on kitchen table. Just get rid of microwave and put in a toaster oven instead. I like this little one 😊

I like the dinette bilut based on my current RV I may have concerns that the backrest and seat nearest the door may not be strong enough to support a larger person. I like the decor and outside storage. I like your idea about the bar instead of the dinette and I would use a blow up mattress for guest if needed.

The bar idea is interesting, would be neat I think. Or they make a bench over the wheel well and run the table the other direction and have chairs on the other side. Perhaps may make things a little tight to walk around though. Will a second spare tire fit through the front storage basement door?

Extra storage in bath is worth tight toilet, you're not on the toilet that much, lol. I'd remove the front dinette section , stick in a euro recliner and leave mb in sleep mode and you have ideal no slide singles camper .

Just looked at the earlier version of one of these and I noticed they got rid of a couple drawers under the cook top in the kitchen. I also did like the telescoping ladder myself. Still love the layout. Biggest issue is the crowded toilet. Guess it is a sobriety test in disguise.

I really like that they went away with the dark wood interior that the previous models had. One of the reasons I went with a GeoPro instead of a small Jayco was that dark wood around the beds with the light wood around the kitchen...it made no sense to me.

Hi Josh, a few questions here, but first and foremost thank you for all your unbiased videos. Their definitely appreciated. My first question is: where's the battery box? Second question is: the factory website states that this trailer has "Climate Shield (0 to 100 degrees tested weather insulation package)" can you elaborate on that? Third question: can a travel trailer be purchased from you and picked up at the Bish's Virginia location? Regarding my thoughts on this unit: I personally don't mind the small kitchen space since most if not all of our cooking would be done outside. Also, my wife and I being on the "shorter side" would have no problem with the shorter bed or bathroom size. I do love the beefier frame, enclosed under belly, 16" tires, and where they mounted the spare tire. All of this in a sub 22' trailer! Not crazy about the outside speakers (one Bluetooth speaker would have been fine), the white kitchen sink (prefer stainless steel) and finally, it appears that the factory website only offers an 1800-watt inverter whereas a 3000 watt with a lithium package would've been great. Overall, this trailer checks all the important boxes for us, and the dislikes are definitely not deal breakers (they can all be easily DIY upgraded).

*BATTERY BOX:* Those would go on the tongue. Like many travel trailers this does not include a factory battery *CLIMATE SHIELD:* I'll have to verify that. Last year they hadn't actually weather tested their Micro models but it's possible they have done so now. They also seem to have pulled details on their climate shield package from their website. It was always weirdly inconsistent. On some brands it included extra insulation in the roof. Some in the floor. Usually a measure of belly heating and radiant barrier layering was involved. But they're not making it easy to get this information and I don't want to get it wrong for you. I will need to bulk up on this and have to ask you to drop our team members a note in the mean time so they can dig into it more directly for you. *PICKUP FROM VA?* Yes though clients will need to cover the shipping charges from one of our other stores to that one. The good news there is a place like my hometown store is so close to the MFG you aren't having to pay double freight charges

What size weight distribution hitch would you recommend for this trailer. I have a Dodge Ram 1500, I am thinking about a Reese 49911 hitch it has 600 lbs tongue weight with 6000 lbs tow weight?

For the size not bad at all. A few things like the toilet and ceiling fan could be easily changed. Love the large propane capacity and solar as a standard. All in all a very nice little TT for a like you say single or couples. I also love the aggressive tires and suspension.

Hey Josh, I see Jayco is using a 2” foam laminated flooring in some of their lightweights in 2024, but it’s quietly advertised in their brochures and I can’t find any info from them on this new spin. I’m assuming it’s wood/luan free, but wondering if there’s anything you know or can find out from your friends at Jayco?

Jay feather has been using that floor system successfully for years. They have more crossmembers vs a lot of historical laminated floors and thicker top decking It's not a full composite floor like an Alliance or Ember though

Pretty sure it can but I second guessed myself at the last minute. Most "bendy beds" can be left down. Rockwood's 1pc murphy is one of the few that has to be "up" for transit

Much improved however.... WHAT were they thinking!!? Why a 3-burner cook top?? Takes up most of the counter space! Need to change it to a 2-burner and should add a flip-top extension at the end. I've had to cook many times inside my Rpod 196 which has a bit more counter top space and it's never enough! Another issue - no place to hand your coat! Would be better to remove the small window by the door and add some hooks. A place to put your shoes would be great to! For me ---would PERFECT!!!

Hey Josh? Got a question for you…. Do you remember during hurricane 🌀 Katrina when FEMA had purchased numerous basic build campers for those people who were displaced by the storm? Just curious, with immigration crisis that we have along the southern border and the government sending these people all over the country to live in hotels and causing all of that disruption in those areas; have you heard if the government is considering doing the same thing type of thing and house these people in RV’s? Not that I’m a proponent of spending this kind of money, but if they were to do that (or even buy the used RV’s from the public that are unwanted) it would be a major increase in sales for the industry again. Just wondering. Thanks.

This goofy dinette table looks like it was designed for Twiggy and Mick Jagger. Normal folks will break their knees trying to get in on either side of the table. Why does there look to be a luggage rack surrounding the AC on the roof? I always like the side 'nightstand' thingies next to the bed for stuff you might need in the middle of the night. These are huge - and may inhibit making the bed. And, the TV is, at best, an afterthought in the design. I'd rather see NO TV like some Mfg's are doing. That leaves me to try to figure out what to do with a TV. I like the excellent ground clearance of the tank dumps. It means boondocking with this unit will be effortless. Good thinking, Jayco. If I was a single man who loved boondocking, this might be the ticket (even though I've never been a fan of single-axle trailers).
