The valve stem is through one of the circles that go along the rim. The machines arms don't fit in the holes . Use common sense . You can see afterwards when they show the wheel the valve stem is inside one of the circles most the time the valve stem on truck wheels like that are on the inside just like this one . Prevents damage.

@WhosThatWhippin Yes, the valve stems point inward but the base is where contact can be made. Maybe nothing solid on the polisher hits it. I don't know as I've never seen one up close.

I polished wheels for a while and it’s extremely hard with the hand polisher, but the job is better, especially around the lug nuts. If the truck owner doesn’t mind, this is absolutely great.

I drove OTR back in the 80s and 90s and I always polished my rims. What sucked about polishing rims for me was that, when I would bring my truck in to the shop for service, the little twerp who washed the trucks would spray my rims with acetone and dull them all out again. No amount of yelling ever got him to stop.

Acetone must have been deluted down store bought crap for 15 yrs I worked with commercial grade I've had things ate up all way down to bare metal and any thing rubber and plastic gone completely vanished so your lucky it was just a dull look

Ради интереса - сколько весит колесо от грузовика и на сколько изменится масса если использовать алюминиевый сплав? И на сколько уменьшится прочность диска и , как следствие , грузоподъёмность автомобиля? На грузовиках используется только ШТАМПОВКА

What about around the lug nuts? It's still not polished between them. The worst part of polishing truck rims is getting around the lug nuts. 🤔 Needs to be one with small round shaped polishers that spin with 4 equally spaced in a circle that will rotate to go to the next lug nuts on this wheeled contraption to get around the lug nuts. Maybe this machine in the video but have different heads to switch out. The one shown and the one I'm talking about could maybe be rigged to work on the same machine interchangeably. IDK if that's understandable or not, but it could be something for the person that built this one to look into.
