When I got this quest it was in Altair system, same system as Groundpounders. I wish it was static in Altair, because it felt immersive, like spacers really were trying to organize and take over that system. Though repetitive, it made sense. I also had my first outpost there, and my outpost neighbor was also a member of LIST. So by the end, I had a strong attachment to the system. Shame about the despawning and other random aspects, takes some shine off a great quest.

For me it happened in Tau Ceti when I went to do the Vanguard questline so I at first thought it was part of that quest especially since I had been sent to that system to fix a comms array.

I love Phil Hill. I love randomly hearing his chirpy "Hey there!" as I rummage around the nexus on a planet on the other side of the galaxy from Cydonia, making me go, "WTF are YOU doing here???" I love how his sketchy-ass grin reminds me of a prankster I know, so you kinda go, "hmmm, I dunno if I should trust this guy". Kind of wish we could romance him.

there is an elevator near the control room, that lead to the back of the secured door, its just a faster exit route. The station and farms despawn, because this a randomised quest, it is randomised were you get the call, this could happen in a total different system

That last locked door in the first area is the Skyrim door. If you go through the upper level in the second area, there is another elevator that leads to that door from the flip side. Great Vid!

Lots of memorable quests in Cydonia. I have a soft spot for the boy asking me to chat with his mother so she may feel better. Then there's getting that weirdo the first volume of Dragonstar Force, which reads a lot like a blend of Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings.

for some reason in my playthrough a whole ass terramorph spawned in the second stage, fighting spacers - except they pretty quickly domed the guy, making him stuck inbetween floors forever dead XD

Plot twist. It was all a big scam to get you to settle a grudge they had with some spacers. That's why the "farm" was so small. It was just a small temp base setup for the illusion.

I wonder if the whole thing vanishing is a game glitch of some kind, or you were ment to go visit right after this in order to start the next quest with them to prevent their colonies from mutual destruction. Or even seeing the List guy to bring up your concerns within a hidden time limit. in order to completely save them. It's just weird that it all just vanished. If they programmed this to disappear shortly after completing it, but don't let you get the oppertunity to go back and check on them when they leave it off like you could. That would leave a rather bitter and unsatisfactory taste in players mouths. Which you would think Bethesda would have learned by now that doing things like that enrages their player base
