When I was a 3 or 4-year-old girl,my sister bought me a music box which played this tune.I hadn't known its name until I was 10.Since then,I began to love Debussy's music.Everytime I listened to this beautiful melody,I think of my lovely childhood:)

With composers like Debussy there is no such thing as perfection. The performance is left to the interpreter. No perfect timing needed here. This is the best, some ignorant fools say worst, part of having to play compositions taken from his work.

So many people play it wrong, it has been modernized. This was by far the best version i've heard, exactly how it is supposed to be played. Absolutely stunning. Thank you.

I listened to this with my eyes closed, and it made my heart swell. I sleep to Clair de lune every night and when I hear you play this water comes to mind because you play with such a smooth flowing quality. I feel so much emotion thru this. Thank you much for sharing this. It has made me very happy.

This is how Debussy meant this to be played. When he penned the notes, he could feel the music flowing throw him onto the page, immortalizing his genius. You were able to extract it. Bravo.

My mother used to play the familiar melody portion of this all the time when I was a child. Although she was in poor physical and mental health most of her life, I will always associate Claire de Lune with the peace and joy that lived deep with her. My sincere thanks for bringing those feelings back.

You know... I've been listening to this piece for as long as I can remember. I've even seen it performed live several times. I have to say that this was the first time that I was brought to tears. Very few- very few pieces can do that. This one did. It is a brilliant rendering; so full of emotion- I literally lost myself. Thank you.

The most beautiful part about this... You didn't just play the music, you LIVED it... when the music got intense, you could see your face reacting to it... and at the end, when the music is light, almost careful... you were so careful with the keys to hit them just right, and you could see the concentration on your face.... It's beautiful to watch a true artist at work.... This was my grandmothers favorite song, and I know she would have loved to hear you play it.

I first came across this well over a decade ago while staying at a hotel in Banff. I was alone for a long weekend on a work trip, sitting in the hotel room after work trying to keep myself occupied with the internet. I was exploring some Chopin piano at the time and, at some point playing around with different search terms not including Claude Debussy, this came up and for no particular reason I clicked on it. Wow; I was immediately hooked. This is the best recording of this piece I've hear before or since. I must have listened to it 15 times that weekend. I saved the KZbin link and for the last more than 10 or 12 years, I come back and listen to it every so often. I don't know the name of the pianist, but my appreciation and respect; I hope you are still playing.

The broken heart and the heart learning how to love. This tune gives me chills and can, when the emotional winds blow, can stagger me. Haveing lost a love recently, this tune can open the wound too easily. perhaps soon I'll hear this tune one the other, happier end of a broken heart. The way you play this painting-od-song nessles right into all that had broken my heart. Somehow this tune might helps me belive another love waits for me.
