Claude Schnell is one of those unsung hero's of metal. His Keyboard solo in All The Fools Sailed Away is one of the best key solos EVER.

Yoooo, you are a legend of Rock n' Roll, All The Fools Sailed Away went to another dimension with such magic powers, that solo sounded to me like I was in a Castlevania castle fighting armored knights in the middle of the hall. Pure magic@@chewybacha9853 Salutes from Brazil.

Nice 80's sounds for this solo. :-) I saw him live in Finland in 1987 Giants of Rock.

Sadly underappreciated by Ronnie Dio (RIP) and others but make no mistake Mr. Schnell is/was a supreme virtuoso. He was the Keith Emerson (RIP) and Jon Lord (RIP) of heavy metal keyboard playing. Dio's classic sound was the amazing synergy between Ronnie's (RIP) voice, Vivian;s guitar playing and Claude's keyboard playing. Mr. Schnell is a monster keyboard player.

around the 2:30 mark he plays the outro of the credits portion of the Stars video by Hear N Aid. Nice snippet. Awesome.

The keyboard solo wasn't on the Sacred Heart VHS. Luckily it was re-released on DVD where you could watch this and a few more songs.

At 2:37 I'm pretty sure Roxette stole that part.

I believe that part was in the Hear N' Aid video credits for the "Stars" music video.

I have always wondered the same question. Sounds like something from Miami Vice or something.

It sounds like the same chords as Stars, from the Hear 'n Aid project.

It's the same music used at the end credits of the Hear'n Aid video. Search for the 45 minute version and you'll find it.
