Claudia, I can totally see the effectiveness of Lanluma versus the Sculptra. Your facial fullness is absolutely perfect in this video so it was well worth the change in product and wonderful that the lady who referred you to the Lanluma was so kind to let you know about it. I would keep up with the Lanluma to maintain your current facial fullness because you look really beautiful. It would be great to know how long your current results last within the 2-5 years.

Hi Kasey, I would have loved to try Lanluma but live in Kenya, and it is not available. Also since it requires a course of treatments, I never spend enough time in Europe to actually do it there. I have read that fat transfer is permanent, but I don't understand why? If we loose the fat we have in our cheeks why would it be different after a transfer?

Fat transfer is NOT less invasive than PLLA injections, it is actually much MORE invasive. It might give great results IF IT TAKES. Unfortunately, fat does not take up to 60% ( meaning only 40% OF THE FAT LIVES AND YOU MIGHT NEED TO HAVE MORE THAN ONE FAT TRANSFER TO ACHIEVE THE NEEDED VOLUME. DO NOT GET ME WRONG, IT IS A GREAT TREATMENT, i HAD IT MYSELF, BUT IT TOKK 3 SESSIONS TO ACTUALLY ACHIEVE THE VOLUME NEEDED.Sorry, capslock appeared by itself, do not have time to retype everything. Good luck with FT but do not be disappointed if it is not as you want immediately.

I did fat transfer and it lasted 3 months, it costs me $5000 US dollars. Now, I am doing sculptra and I like the result. Next might be Lanluma but I am not sure if it's available in the US yet.

For a person who runs thin, particular;y in the face, fat transfer would most like;y not give a lasting result as weight loss still occurs following treatment. Plus its very hit and miss as to how much fat ‘takes’ so initial results are sometimes very different to end result in 6 months time.

So happy for you that after your determination (and investment!) you found something that worked for you and that you’re happy with the result! I do wish (as many have stated) that the Dr could’ve convinced her rep/the supplier to comp the treatment in exchange for them using you (with your permission of course) as a case study. ​@@claudiaglowsaesthetic procedures are beneficial to providers regardless of whether they work for patients or not, and patients do not receive any kind of guarantee, I think it is time for that to change, because nowadays many non-expert providers are jumping in to do this type of procedures since it does not matter if they do it well or not, they charge the same and thus the patient is totally unprotected. I am not referring specifically to your provider of course but in general. By the way, yo do look great! and I'm very demanding person not easy to impressed and who doesn't say this kind of things if I don't really see the difference. Thank you for being so open and real, at 30 I used sculpta 2 vials and work wonders at 40 did NOT work, at 40 I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism = lots of meds will work dif with me, including the sculpta, so I used filler and work wonders! Claudia you look soooo happy!! ❤❤❤

That said, your results with Laluma are genuinely remarkable. I have watched as your face changed pretty dramatically in fullness. Score! You found the right fit for you. You look spectacular. I had Sculptra done twice about 10 years ago. The results were fantastic. I did get a couple of granulomas though. No one could see them and only I felt them. That made me hesitant. I would totally do Lanluma, if I could be assured it doesn't affect mast cell activation disorder. I am just thrilled for you!

If I had facial fat loss from aesthetic procedures, I would have done the same thing to fix it!! Totally worth it IMO, you look so beautiful!! If I were to choose between Sculptra and Lanluma, I would choose Lanluma because one of my reservations for Sculptra is its inability to mix properly with water and I would also want to use less product for better, longer lasting results! I don't see anyone using it here in the US, but I will look for it!

It is not cleared for use in US. Dr Rajani, KZbin, has a video comparing the two products

he is not quite accurate in his comparison though. While it is the same ingredient, the particle size is slightly different. It is actually a Korean product that was re-named, which I did not know when making this video. And there was a study on the Korean product vs Sculptra and the Korean product gave better results@@resurgem

Claudia, thank you for sharing your anti-aging journey with us. These videos are so helpful and interesting. You look fabulous, I can really see the volume restoration in the buccal area. I am becoming gaunt in this area as well and it’s really bothering me. I think I experienced fat loss and tissue thinning after getting a bunch of IPL treatments in my 20s. One in particular really melted the front of my cheeks and I was so upset about it that I had to get filler right after. Thin skinned individuals need to be very cautious about which procedures we do.

What a great discovery. I remember thinking after your Sculptra video that the results were disappointing - given the price and the number of treatments. I can definitely see a difference in your face. About a year ago I had 6 vials of Sculptra injected over 3 months. I love the results and will be doing 2 vials for maintenance in September. I also use filler, however, so maybe a combination would be more satisfying.? I'm 65 and was mistaken for 50 the other day. I get lots of compliments on my skin too. I'm thin with high cheekbones like you so filler/Sculptra makes a huge difference in my appearance.. Thank you for sharing your experience. ETA: I commented before I watched all the way through! I'll have to check out Laluma. The Sculptra did take a while to kick in and after 1 year I'm starting to see some vertical lines under my cheeks that I had banished and had not expected to see back for a couple years. Sounds like it would be okay to experiment even after the Sculptra injections. Three weeks for results is amazing!

HOLY MOLY- you look amazing!!!! You are beautiful no matter what=) I empathize with you 100%. I too have a slender face & high cheekbones. When I was very fit, my face became gaunt looking to the point where people thought there was something wrong with me. It's a bummer to be super healthy & have people think you're ill. I had silicone oil injections 20 yrs ago to increase collagen. It is the same product used when total reconstruction via plastic surgery is needed. It sounds like awful stuff, but it worked for me & will never need to be redone. 2 treatments are all it took, but it took 4-6 months to really see results. I do many things to stimulate collagen, taking high levels of vitamin C & taking collagen powder daily are part of that regimen. I would love to plump my cheeks up just a tiny bit more & may have to try Lanluma=)

Please don't take this the wrong way , but I always thought you looked quite old because of your gauntness. I am a similar age to you and exercise a lot and with a body fat % of 11% I suffer from that gaunt look too. But now I must say that the change in your facial fat volume and the overall effect it has on your looks is incredible. I've only been following your channel for about a year, but I must say imho this is the healthiest you have looked. Congratulations and thanks for sharing this. I think you look wonderful Claudia. Great to show how good PLLA works. Obviously a PLLA product helped, just goes to show the Sculptura would have done a better job if you had 2 or even 3 vials per session from the start. The rule of thumb is generally 2 vials per decade here in the US but it could be more depending on the extent of the facial volume loss, you just needed more product, but there is nothing wrong with Sculptura, Sculptura has worked wonders for me, if the LAnuma has more product and costs more then its mathematically and scientifically not any different from sculpture in the end. Hopefully they pay you for advertising their product for them.

I agree with you when you said you have learned to love the person you see in the mirror So much of my life has been wasted because of my insecurities and during my menopause so many loved ones and others expressed their shock as at me letting myself go not taking care of myself Let me just say i was blessed to have lived through it and there has been women in my family that didn't my mother for one For some women menopause is hell I have worked hard to gain some good health and I still look my age but feel wonderful and i do look lots better If you want to make it and have any kind of quality life you must learn true forgiveness Thank you Claudia for really putting yourself out there I know many will benefit from it God bless you in Jesus sweet name and peace to your house

I was fascinated by this video and you look fabulous! My mum also saw it and said: "She looks marvellous! I'm going away for a few minutes to think about what I've just seen." It made me think of when I had PROFHILO done twice, which is a skin booster of hyaluronic acid, but the type that doesn't quickly break down and is active for a month while it builds collagen. It's subtle, but gives a natural result, unlike fillers if done too high up. It blankets the mid and lower face. I've been doing an experiment using the Plasma Pen with the fractional tip, by going over the full face and neck for collagen remodelling, then adding pure hyaluronic acid. The sodium based product is active for about 3 - 4 days, but the work from the fractional tip continues stimulating your own collagen. Every Sunday I've been doing this, done 4 times so far. My cheeks are more plump, firmer and improved jawline, spongier forehead, so this is from my own treatment alone. It has also worked on scars and wrinkles as it mimicks the CO2 fractional laser. It's doing a few things at once. I took the risk of doing it more often than I should, but would change it to every 2 weeks or longer if scarring occurs. I've found it even more important to apply with a circular motion and not in lines due to what looks like temporary pinpricks on the forehead: the information to change the skin. Plasma Pen treatments can look squarish: the fractional tip stops this. I also use Hydromol Ointment mixed with water (like Vaseline) and just looks like I have slightly darker, tanned skin. If it feels like it's soon going to peel, it can even allow you to leave the house when hydrated in sunscreen. It has to be done gently if doing often. To summarise: it's resurfacing the skin, letting in the hyaluronic acid product (drying the skin and active for up to 4 days: keep moisturising!) It stimulates collagen and elastin over the next few weeks. Continuing several times is the equivalent of PROFHILO or similar done in areas you can't reach. It's a workaround of PROFHILO being active for a month.

@@liviusss The treatment is faster with PROFHILO: 5 injection areas on each side of the face, done in about 10 - 15 minutes. The Plasma Pen with the fractional tip is safer than a mole needle, used with low settings for regular use. It takes longer to numb the skin and complete the treatment, which would take an hour or longer if done thoroughly. This is considering 20 minutes of hyaluronic acid, adding a tiny bit of water and continue to massage and pat so more is absorbed. Leave overnight and only apply moisturiser the following day. PROFHILO: subtle results and requires additional procedures vs Plasma Pen mimicking the CO2 fractional laser (fractional tip) using electricity instead of light from a laser, resurfacing the skin and letting in products and going where PROFHILO can't go.

@@ChiquiTita65 The product is called: SCIENCEBOOST Pure Hyaluronic Acid. It's about £25 for 500ml and is a pump. It's kept in the fridge. Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxy Ethanol. You know when it's working when the skin is dry, for 3 - 4 days: apply moisturiser. It also absorbs into the lips, especially with microneedling or similar.

You have such a pleasant and calming aura! About the treatments, I think the results are very obvious, thank you for sharing your experience. I think fat loss and thinning of the skin really change the face the most. A lot of people also swear by Tretinoin to promote cell turn-over, micro-needling to keep the skin thick, and a nice hialuronic acid based moisturiser. So I'm thinking maybe these things along with those injections might help maintain those positive results for even longer.

I’m going to throw this out there because I’ve had personal experience. It’s my belief that we can maintain facial fat through a balance of diet and proper exercise. Proper exercise however, means less cardio and more strength training. Proper diet means adding a smoothie made with one avacado, a large scoop of blue berries, a banana, a beetroot, a scoop of creatine and two scoops of protein powder along with 600ml of water to your normal meals EVERY day. I say it because whenever I drop that smoothie from my own daily diet I can visibly see my skin start to sag and the hollows appear back in my cheeks over the following 4-6 weeks. I’ve cycled through this over the past 9 months and every time I drop the smoothie I can see it in my skin and every time I start drinking one each day my face becomes fuller (not fat, but visibly fuller) again, the skin tightens and I look healthier. The beauty of this combination is that the extra fat is applied throughout the body, not just around the waist. Whatever else you put in, make sure there’s an Avacado, banana, blue berries and protein powder, the rest will be a personal choice, the fact is that we can resolve a lot of facial fat issues by simply eating more of the right foods (avocados, avocados…avocados) have one of those smoothies daily for 30 days (sip it as you work over a period of 4-5 hours) and you will see a difference in your facial fat, it’s almost a 100% guarantee.

It might work for some people, but not for everyone. It depends what caused your facial fat loss and face aging in the first place. I have very few static wrinkles but my face is melting - so lots of expression marks. I had bone loss due to 4 teeth extraction for braces + fat loss due to Hifu, + 20 years of smoking and decades of sunbathing without protection. Besides all, I have a poor sleep hygiene, so I get around 5 to 6 hours sleep a night, if that much. My diet is super healthy (I eat avocado, tofu, mix of seeds, tahini every day for breakfast + around 8 portions of plants throughout the day) and I'm very active, but these alone won't help my case (although, what I eat it makes me feel very energised)

I took half vial of lanluma in Romania. This is my real solution thenks to you Claudia. I wanted a full vial but the doctor refused that for my first intervention in my life. I will do the next session with a full vial after a month but my skin is going to rise in volume already after 2 weeks. I payed 400 euros instead of 800 because they diluted only half vial. Based on a quick internet search, it seems like Lanluma is not in the US yet. I may call a few local places tomorrow just to confirm this and to find out if they have even heard of Lanluma. sculptra is best after standing for 4 days....the other pllas are a different particle size and shape to sculptra the round shaped ones seem to work better in creating volume.....i dont really rate Sculptra as being the best anymore but anyway you look absolutely beautiful....no more than 7ml saline to mix sculptra otherwise it is too thin to create volume....9ml is to much water and same with the other one 15mls is too much water making it too dilutes....the only reason i can think of as to why the doctor dilutes it too much is because she doesnt use a cannula and uses a needle instead.....cannulas are better they dont clog

Hi Claudia, thank you for finally sharing! I knew your face was looking dramatically different. I also did sculptra and did 3 seasons with NO RESULTS:( I was so disappointed. They just told me they thought it was because I take immune suppressants and maybe they stopped the bodies natural reaction to produce it’s own collagen. They tried looking up data on taking immune suppressants with sculptra and couldn’t find anything. Now hearing you did 7 seasons with not much results and I saw in the comments of others saying the same thing. So now I think they were definitely just trying to blame my medication for their product not working. I live off my disability income so it was a huge cost for my budget. You look beautiful. You make me now want to try Lanluma. I paid 750 a vial for sculptra in California US. So if it’s more than that it’s going to be very hard for me. Even if I could just do 1 and get a little more volume just so I don’t look so ill. Between cancer, 2 transplants, scleroderma, graft vs host disease and being bedridden for many years going down to 73 pound at 5’10” I’ve lost so much in my face. It really really makes me not want to leave the house. I’m definitely not just being vain and doing everything to not age. My situation is completely different where I look very unhealthy. I’ve worked tremendously hard trying to gain my strength back & learning to walk again after beating the odds(was told I would never get out of bed again and given 3yrs-8 yrs ago) but sadly with my face I can’t fix or even improve with diet and exercise😢 I wish I knew if Lanluma would work on me if I take immune suppressants.

I am so very sorry to hear that you are having to deal with so much!! I know you are not being vain (and even if you were, it is human nature), but that your situation is very different from most of us. I can not even begin to imagine having to deal with everything you had to and are still dealing with. I have not heard that sculptra does not work when one is taking immune suppressants, but I will see if I can find anything on this. Sending you the biggest hug xx
