Claudio Roditi - Bossa Pra Donato

As a trumpet player professionally, I will always love Claudio's sound and expression. As an orchestral trumpet player who makes about 30% of his income on the rotary valve trumpet, I just just do not not understand how he managed get around so easily on that axe.... I am hard pressed to play a Beethoven symphony. Wow, just wow!!!

I once heard a comment by Paquito on the late Dr Billy Taylor's show. He stated that he never heard Claudio play a wrong note. Perhaps he was just playing as PacMan usually does. Judging from what I've seen and heard, I believe he was right on point... One of the baddest horns on the scene.
