100%. I still prefer T6 because it has the 2 most fun tanks in the game, T34-85M and Tiger131. But yeah, at least half the games you're in a bottom tier and you just have to sit back and try to help in some way.

yea. they REALLY need to make tier 8 into its own tier or at least have tier 8-10 be its own bracket. there's just far too many ridiculously imbalanced tier 8 tanks that have horrifically powercreeped the game. especially the premium ones in their pursuit of quick easy profits at the expense of a quality gameplay experience. if they ever do make it to where tier 6 would only face tier 7 at the highest. and tier 7 also never see anything tier 8 and above, it truly would make for the greatest and most fun tier to play with consistant reliable good fun. this would also balance out the tier 8s some because then all those overtuned premium tanks would be forced to always remain bottom tier in the match making. which, as a +14 year WoT veteran with multiple tier 10s as well as an owner of many of those said tier 8 premiums, i can testify that it wouldnt hurt them in the slightest as they perform perfectly fine against tier 10s even.

@ I can see Wargaming doing something about tier 6, the whole WoT community is complaining that tier 6 is completely useless against tier 8s, other than that I doubt they will do anything different for tier 7 and above unfortunately, I only have a few high tier tanks and I will keep it that way

I totally agree. My favorite tank is my KV-85 at Tier 6. I have a great crew, fully trained, using field mods, and this thing is awesome when playing up to Tier 7 tanks. My beef is the massive amount of games that I'm forced to play Tier 8 tanks. Occasionally have a good game against the T8s, but not usually. If Wargaming would cap the matchmaking to keep the games all even tier to no more than +/- 1 tier, this game would be SO much more enjoyable.

Hey Claus - June 2011 to January 2025 - 13+ years; probably thousands of dollars spent between premium time, premium tanks, loot boxes, etc, and an alleged tank game but full of wheeled clown cars; and their patent is failing because I've NEVER been more dissatisfied with WoT than now. Over the last several weeks, a win/loss ratio of 1:5, and that's with what you describe as the best premium tank at Tier VIII - the SU-130PM. It's also why I refused to buy any of the Winter Holiday loot boxes and will not buy any of the Lunar New Year boxes either. Possibly the only salvation left is to take your suggestion and drop back to Tier VI and see if there's any fun at all left in this game. So, for those other Clausian old guys, I'll steal a radio broadcast sign-off from WW II - "Good night, and good luck."

I was one of the early adopters of WoT. After clawing my way to tier 8-9 I found out the only way those tanks could be funded was with premium, otherwise you couldn't afford the repairs and ammo. I quit like 10 years ago. Near the end, the only thing I enjoyed playing were SPGs. . I got very good at countering enemy SPGs. As an SPG, you know the "setup" areas for each map, so you ignore the rest of the battlefield and focus on those spots until you can see in your peripheral vision some skirmish you can affect with your shot. I can't count the number of "invisiwrecks" I made over the years. It's wonderful when you see the origin of the tracer, fire at it and you see the wreck appear. The last time I "went back" I took out my E 25 TD and got whined at for playing a "gold" tank. I didn't have the heart to tell them I got the tank for free (promo giveaway), it's not like I was paying to win.

The thing about tier 6 and 7 is. Tier 6, most of the time, is in tier 8 games. Tier 7 is in tier 9 game. Most tier 6 tanks don't have the armor to hold up to a tier 8 tank. That's why the world of tanks should make it 1 tier up and down. It would probably be better for players. That's why new players keep playing tier 3-5. Because you play the game with out getting killed in one or to shots. Tanks are somewhat fairly even .

"Best tier" really depends on the tank you play and the job you "have/are able" to do, but I agree that Tier 6 has a good balance between a lot of things. You can enjoy very good tanks that are "archetype" with nothing (mechanics) too complicated to use.

But yes, one aspect of the constitutional monarchy that I do like is that the head of state is apolitical. If we were a republic we'd end up with President Blair, or President Cameron, or someone else that half the country automatically hates. Better as we are IMO.

story time- i just got a minor game violation, cause i was being pushed around a corner by a teammate. yeah keep that bit of information stored to the front of your brain.. i was account locked/banned for minor game violation accourding to support. for stopping myself from being pushed into the open by a teammate. by reversing back into him to keep myself from going around a corner. cant make this up. i reported the game, by replay and screen shots. but he wasnt banned, i was. i got banned for reporting someone. the more you know.

the gun sounds were way better back in the day. all were distinct from each other. I remember when I fired a Jagdaroo shell with my surround sound on it was deep living room shaking experience. Like, "omg that round is really gonna fuck someone's day up". (then of course bounce.) Whereas the Jagdtiger has a rumble, there was more of a sharp ear piercing sound. Now they both sound the same and every other gun over 120mm

I would say tiers 5-7 are the best no 10 second reload so you don't have to shoot and hide for what feels like an eternity waiting for a reload which creates a lot of campers

The KV-1S is also aburtal tank in t6... vs t6 tanks. Not so good against higher tiers like tier 8, but in a t6 Skirmish, it's king. T-34-85M don't stand a chance against a KV-1s with the derp. This derp has an 8 second reload. Another tank to consider is the T-150.
