I was once platooning with a teammate who was also driving a KV-2. On Malinovka. Driving at full speed, right at the start, he aimed at the bushes, said "the lights usually go there" ... pulled the trigger ... and one-shot a medium.

Perfect description of the rangefinder mechanics. There has to be a way to lock the rangefinder distance in this game. e.g. a keystroke that locks a distance or so. Because it makes it impossible to hit quick peaking, ridge hugging lights. You have a game mechanic that prohibits you from hitting them, but if their antenna peaks past the ridge, it spots you 300 meters away behind a bush. Which is technically impossible. But hey, ...... Juri can always tweak.

1st game - my first thought was the arty drove off the bridge, but he could have have killed himself with splash damage (firing at rock in front of you). And our guy probably got spotted earlier by 'Call for Vengeance' skill, after killing the guy. Now for the 2nd game :)

That second game reminds me of my days in SPGs. I got really good at leading targets and blind shots, It was always fun to see the target go dark just before I pulled the trigger then BOOM! gotcha. I played almost 1000 games in the Wespe and had worked up to a 4 skill crew. Lots of fun with a full camo crew and a camo net. Enemies would drive right by hehehe.

I have been in that same spot as the su-100 with every tree knocked over doing the exact same thing in my T67 except I backed up even further and I got spotted when I fired my gun every time. I have a 5 perk crew in my T67.

I used to like playing the SU-100 (along with the SU-152 and ISU-152 when it had the big gun before it got changed - I forget now), but I was into TD's, mainly German, Russian, and some British and American ones, plus heavies, usually plodders, just like me..... Anyway, a couple of well chosen games....

Well, Claus, at my age it's all about use it or lose it. My home gym has become important, well-equipped, and well-used. I now workout incorporating methods for hypertrophy to counter the age-related deterioration of muscle. Minoxidil for the hair. I remember in my second game in my KV-2 I 1-shot a type 59 enemy who raged at me rest of game for cheating. I have seen one game that was better than this guy's KV-2 game. I was in a game with a T100-LT on my team where we were losing 2 to 9, and this guy fought back and won single handed. Luckily I stayed in game after dying to watch the whole thing. No, I don't have the recording. But it was a thing of beauty.

There are a mod help derpy gun retain the distand of aiming point, it called BalCal. very helpful for some tank like KV-2, Type 5 or 183/FV4005

great battles. the second one, you answered the question about penning....shots where looping in instead of going straight, so most likely hitting engine decks or turret tops instead of going straight into the sides, that is how the first shot hit, looped over obstacles and dropped into gully onto/into the tank.

Whether he is detected after a kill shot I think depends on the time it takes the shell to arrive. If he is close to the enemy then the enemy dies before he can respond. If he was further away with a slow shell, then he lasts long enough to detect. iyouxin had a twitch session that looked at that a couple of months ago.

Two good videos Claus. To be honest summer 2023 can do one! 2 weeks off work eldest daughter comes down with covid which buggers the holiday period. Took a further 4 days at end of August youngest daughter catches covid, wife breaks her hip and then rest of household including me come down with covid....complete bollocks to be honest, however went fishing over weekend and had quite a good session. (sea fishing off a boat). Glad yours was good Claus, keep up the good work

The FV-304 was "lost in battle" -- usually it is from firing too close into a wall/rock deliberately. You can see the arty circle from the shot near the bridge, probably just below it.

@@singncarpenter6270 When the last tank has died by crashing or drowning in in all the battles I can remember, the message has said crashed or drowned. The self-HE kill for an arty is revealed by the enemy arty impact ring that appears at the same time as the "lost in battle" message. That message in this game is also simultaneous with such an arty impact ring at the bridge. The only times I have caused such a message for my own arty is when I shotgunned while ~essentially in contact with an enemy as I try to take him with me!

Claus great vids! 6th sense has a multiplier kind of effect. You divide your shell velocity by 6 I think and if you're outside that range at the kill shot you get spotted.

Best shot i ever had in the kv2... it was a blowout and only one enemy arty left half the map away, so i shot on the move and killed it while it also was on the move making its escape

Claus, @6:45 the shot on the O-I couldn't have been 527. The alpha damage on the SU gun is only 390 if I'm correct, that plus 25% makes 487,5 dmg. Someone shot at the same moment and what one see is the compoundig effect of the two shots landing on the O-I. It happens a lot with my Cobra :/

If you look at the minimap, you can see the orange ring appear showing where an SPG shell lands. The ring appears again and the match ends. The SPG basically did splash damage to itself to suicide. :-)

Good morning Claus, knowing how to do it is very important. Good Michigan summer on and in the water tubing and watching tubers. The game that comes the closest for me, VK 30.02M plus 2 MM, top gun, high caliber, Ace Tanker with 20 gold rounds, firing until I almost ran out of ammo. Highest XP game to date to carry the win. Battle hits my @$$, ain’t got no time for battle hits and I believe the same about the derp gun aiming, came to same conclusion, have a great one Claus Family, see you tomorrow

Claus when you make a kill shot they will spot you depending on the distance and your shell velocity...the higher the velocity the smaller the distance can be for not being spotted.

While leading the shot too much and actually out of enemy outline you need to aim the ground. But practically it's very hard at the moment to judge the ground path enemy gonna pass, not too close not too far.

My best game ever was when i was a tier 3 AMX 38, on mines, i got 11 kills and won the match. I got the 2 spgs , one of them was the last tank on the enemy team, he bounced when he should've killed me and i shot him 5 times blew him up
