In this episode me, ‪@BRIGHTAttraction‬ and James try out some arcades in various areas of Dorset only to be asked to leave by JHS Leisure, the same company that killed my childhood arcade! I'd highly recommend you steer clear from these operators who own both Alexandra Gardens Weymouth and Ks Funworld Swanage.

I'm glad to see that the Mammoth Crane is still there, but for how long exactly? As these claw machines are really limited, it's really sad to see them disappearing and being scrapped 😢

Honestly… not long they can’t repair it, they’ve told us that. Motors are custom spec from a company called parvalux. It’s like a £500 replacement each motor

I remember seeing the blackpool pleasure beach mammoth few years back stripped and ready for scrap.

They are insanely popular over here! I was yet to win one before this vid but they’ve been kicking about in arcades for months in the UK. Didn’t know u had them over there too, wow!

Was thinking about going to Bournemouth just before you posted this 😅 wish they would change their prizes up more. Not a fan of Weymouth either. Did go down there recently and got a win off one of the eclaws in the high Street. Swanage ofc isn't great now as well but their smaller arcade still has the old machines but the worker did say to me he's not sure they will last😢 there was some new prizes in there for now though and I did manage to win 3 plush for about 10 quid in there. Went over the main arcade and no one was winning anything out the eclaws it's such a shame.

The old are still in Playland? If I knew that I would have still been going lol. Yh Bournemouth prizes have been the same for as long as I can remember to be honest!😂 thank you for enlightening me on swanage

@@MrMegaCrane yes they haven't been swapped out for eclaws yet(: hoping it stays that way. I'm going down Bournemouth now just for something to do😅 feel like everyone must have all the prizes with how long they have been down there 😂

im still really sad to see weymouth go down hill the way it has. the mammoth in this video feels like its been neglected left to be a project they mey fix or not every time ive went to ask them they never have me the answer and always left me with nothing. Its intresting to see that from the looks they fixed the mega thats always of...... well kinda fixed it as its not closing oof. oh.... back when i was young they had 3 maxi claws and lots and lots of toppers it was great. the maxi claws and the megas surounded the mammoth that was working years ago playing away with its crazy frog music im just really sad i never made videos or pics of it . I look at this place now and feel so disapointed knowing my childhood has been ruined 😥.

We actually spoke to the owner of that arcade and he was really nice. He’s given an update on what the issue is with the mammoth and it’s a motor. As for Weymouth as a whole tho, it’s dived off a cliff edge and I completely agree with you as once upon a time I visited there as a child regularly. Chippah (James) remembers the toppers at fantasy island lol. I also played the all 3 maxi claws before I started this channel, all 3 have sadly been scrapped now

@MrMegaCrane that's nice to see it seems like we have progress with that mammoth every time I tryed I never really got the answer. Being a motor problem, I question if its is actually repairable as finding that part is hard. If they did scrap it I'll love to get something from it just as a memory of my childhood Even tho they sadly did get rid of the toppers I still call it the best arcade in Weymouth. I don't mind the peir one tho it's nice to see. Sad to see there dolphin go but being a motherboard problem yeah that's not simple to fix lol.

@@bloodmoon9694 me and Jason agree with you that it’s the best arcade in Weymouth. What would you want off the mammoth? I might be able to sort something as I don’t think it’s in plans to be fixed. The motors on the mammoth are custom made by parvalux.

@MrMegaCrane ahh that's a shame to see its probably going to be scraped in terms of anything of it well I feel like you lot would be better with any of the tec if we were to get the hands of it. For me I would love the banner for my wall it would be a incredible peace to my arcade collection and incredible to know it came from one of my favourite childhood machines but I also understand that others would probably want that to 😅 if that was the case then maybe the front pannel from the cab lol thanks for that offer tho I really appreciate it. This is if you were to get anywhere with it tho lol
