Clay's mom is the star of this entire season. She's a stand-up woman. The way she checked her ex (Clays big headed daddy) with poise and stopped him from telling more lies n excuses while they spoke was gracious to see. As for Clay, at some point you're grown, so still saying my dad brought me along in his cheating ventures as the reasons for having doubt in the LIB process is a weak ass excuse (even though it is a very real traumatic reason to give). Then go to therapy, not sign up for a show that is specifically meant to end with marriage!!! Why waste any of these women's time on the show?! He could have told AD before they went this far (like Jimmy did with Megan Faux). More airtime, more money I guess smh

Right “ I can work with that” are very choice words. Jimmy also said the same thing about Chelsea. Men don’t say “ I can work with that”. I’ve met men from dating apps and they told me “ I like what I see” . But never, “ I can work with that”. Also, I think A.D. was not his type. A man that unready and emotionally unavailable is definitely concerned with looks and unless she’s walking backwards, he did not feel she was the arm candy.

Literally, he could’ve pulled her to the side if his mind changed while in his dressing room. Lastly, Clay still dodged giving a direct answer lol he didn’t say why he came.. he just further explained his red flags. Clay?!! Why did you take your narrow ass on a show about marriage if you never decided if you were ready?! My guy.. Answer this directly.. for the whole United States….
@SpiritualPsychDecoder7 ай бұрын
I agree his mother could’ve also held him accountable but instead she choose to focus on the part that is connected to her pain of being cheated on by his dad. Everyone was a pawn in this scenario. Life is such a movie. The reason Clay didn’t do any of that is because he is a narcissist. It was all about him, from the start. She was way too sure from the start. He couldn’t called it off like the black dude with the twisties did. He was relieved when his partner called things off. Her walking down the aisle could’ve been avoided. However, Clay knew his rejection would go viral and it worked! It’s about him and it was never about her. She was just an object to him: now that he has his supply, he will find his next prey. However, we reap what we sow so he is now the farmer of his seeds. 😊

I think once Clay got really deep in the relationship while on the journey to marriage he realized he needed to work on himself more. Because he told AD in the dressing room he going to go to therapy and actually work on the things he was battling with internally.

I wish AD didn’t take the breaking hard. To me it was all about him and had nothing to do with her. She is amazing and I wish her all the best! She deserves better and I was glad he said no since he was so fearful about being faithful and not being ready for marriage

TBF, you didn't actually explain what the title says, not sure what ℹ is new, nor what he _admitted about auditioning,_ but I am curious why everyone is saying _in absolute terms_ that she's not his typical type, as I don't recall ever hearing HIM say that. Nonetheless, I like how you're so into the show now. I noticed it's spreading to more brown folk this season! Y'all should go back and watch all seasons. Enjoy!

Go back and watch Clay's proposal- it's gave "minus well/YOLO" energy. But if it took Clay to get to the dynamics between his parents then so be it. Hopefully other men like Clay will see themselves and get therapy as well.

I’ve seen it posted somewhere that Netflix has one general application for all of their dating reality shows. And after filling them out, they pick which show they put you on. So if this is true, it’s very possible that he thought that he would be on another show and got cast on LIB because the producers felt like he would make great tv. Because honestly, he not the first guy to be all about looks, i.e. Shake & Bartise; nor was he the first to not be ready for marriage; half of the people who go onto this show. So, while it’s upsetting what he did to AD, it’s par for the course of the course and at least he didn’t marry her like Jarret did Iyanna. Because Jarret wasn’t ready for marriage either and that ended in divorce.

Jess and Charla didn’t mention the big back that AD has…cause those the ones that ignore the red flags…right???

Ppl making Clay mom like she's the best person she's not she raised a loser, she sat there and gaslight AD when it came to her son during that sit down. Then had the audacity to say while she is divorced she was married for 24 years in which she contradicted herself at the end saying he basically wasn't 💩 so she wasn't even married and happy she just stayed

Clay saying that he was scared that he might cheat, wasn’t a red flag. He told A.D his fears, so it was essentially up to her to let him know, that in her opinion he wasn’t ready for marriage.
