To Clay, one of my most respected artists: David Brinkley: A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him or her.

Clay is truly remarkable because he gives others a chance to shine. A true measure of a man.

I was there in Albany that night, and this was fun to see again. My daughter tapped Jacob on the shoulder when he exited the stage.

Clay is not too proud to share the stage with others, that is a confident, smart, gentleman!

Up on a stage for the first time Probably, singing in front of a big crowd with a live band, and Clay standing there, yeah I think he did pretty damn good...

I love how Clay let this boy have a special moment and Clay really made him feel good about being on stage. That boy will remember that for the rest of his life. Everyone should have a moment where they feel special.

CA said later in that series (tour) that there was a recruiter in the audience and that Jacob was looked at for a deal. NICE. He is a cutie.

I saw a clip on a Clay board of Jacob Perkins.He is now like 18,had dark brown hair and was filmed in a local HS musical.He is from Utica,NY.I think a agent was at that Albany show and he signed to make a record,don't know if he did or not?

Sorry, I meant 12 semitones, or 7 tones, above the original.
@MLC9218 жыл бұрын
it sounds squeeky in some parts, but he´s singing it an octave higher so it is more difficult...he is good but the song doesn´t fit his range...still Loved Clay´s reaction,he is such a good person
@franob18 жыл бұрын
i agree that he's a little out of tone, but u've gotta understand he hasn't changed his voice yet, so he can't help it, but he does do a great job
@domjonas16 жыл бұрын

I agree... that kid is very talented... Clay AIken jumps because he was very excited and nevous at the same time that the boy could beat him up.. hahah.. anywa..the claps is for that kid... not for Clay Aiken I guess..
@timofly18 жыл бұрын
nice performance as a kid, nice confidence. just needs a little pitch control ahha
@sikkony17 жыл бұрын
He was singing an octave higher (12 notes above original) to start off, so he was singing extremely too high, otherwise he did extremely well.
@shoney231818 жыл бұрын
Was this from Albany??
@Muzic115 жыл бұрын
Very good singer, I think the problem was that the key was to high for him, if it was down a little he would have hit the higher notes..

The kid sang great. He would have done better in a lower range song however. A little vocal coaching and he will go a long way.
@hoffmiester102917 жыл бұрын
Jacob sounded pretty good, atleast better then Clay. LOL
@ESKN17 жыл бұрын
Nah .. i only think hes ok.... his vocal range sounds high now because hes still young.. the range is lik avgerage i recon.. cause he couldnt reach some parts of the song and later on when he lost it he went out of Key
@cstinia18 жыл бұрын
well, for the first half of the song he was decent. BUt I guess it's the effort that counts
@Crankinthe90s18 жыл бұрын
o and btw do u think he practiced this song for a performance live in front of thousands of ppl....even if he messed the later parts of the song...he owned the first 45 seconds of it....most of you couldnt even sing a word...so lay off...it was a kid having fun and getting the chance of a lifetime....jesus....people are ridiculous with critical crap
@nikkilee479617 жыл бұрын
If you are so wonderful and talented why do you feel it necessary to call down the vocal talents of a 12 year old child?
@tromba2518 жыл бұрын
just because he can belt out loud notes doesn't mean he can sing...he is completely off key but obviously the little kid hasn't had any proper training and knows nothing about control so i guess we should give this little guy a break
@sikkony17 жыл бұрын
Nah he was pretty on pitch at the start from my ears. HAD is off. EVERY KISS is off etc. Then it got worst, but he just approached the song too high. An octave jump is a lot in terms of vocals singing.
@tromba2518 жыл бұрын
he is not in key at all he's just getting applause because a little boy is belting out loud notes, except it's no good when they are completely off key but...we should give the little kid a break...obviously he hasn't had proper training and he doesn't know how to control his voice
@PhantomofDB18 жыл бұрын
wow that was pretty bad haha. the beginning was good and it had potential but the chorus was just rough
