Can we stop with the whole "Started with Brady"? The rule change with Brady was to stop defenders going after the knees. You know who else has that? Basically every single other position. You can't target a kicker/punter legs, you can't chop block in certain areas of the field, you can't have a defender locked up in a block then have another player come from the side and dive at their legs, you can't hip drop tackle, list goes on. All the changes to deter people from targeting the knees. This isn't a rule that's like "you can't land your bodyweight onto the qb while tackling them". That only protects the qb and no other position. Stop the bs brady started anything narrative, because it's a universal rule now.

If I was a head coach, I would a defender I really trust, put some fine money in his trust, and give him the green light to destroy a QB and take the penalty and the fine. When the system is rigged against you, then you are justified to engage "by any means necessary" mode. LOL

Old guys yell at clouds. The league has made a decision to prioritize offense and the QB. Why did they do this? The fans love offense and points of the board. Same reason the MLB looked the other way when dudes juiced up to smash home runs. The leagues are just giving the television audience what they want. Be careful what you wish for.

In doing so the NFL has also ruined the integrity of the game. I guess I'm one of those old guys you mention, but I enjoyed the old NFL I grew up with. The NFL only cares about money. You would think they are going broke. The game is a joke now.
