There aren't enough elite teams to justify an expanded playoff. There are only 4 or 5 teams that can win the title this year.

The problem is that you never know before the season starts how many teams have a shot. Some years there may only be 1. Other years, there may be 10 or more.

More games means more events to gamble on, I’m all for it, NFL needs to move to 20 reg szn games, 3 bye weeks, no preseason, 8 playoff seeds..did I mention more events to gamble on!!!!

Fan attendance at non campus venues will eventually be pushed out by corporations anyway. Very few seats will be available for college fans.
