Compared to fandom it‘s more beginner friendly, because only the „important“ stuff gets explained, especially his origin and how he became the Sorcerer Supreme. And If you want to see Strange turn evil, you can watch the What If Series (Episode 4) and for more of his powers (Episode 8-9)

If you want Strange's lore, here. Dr. Strange was a brain surgeon who suffered a car accident, making his hands shaky and making him unable to continue his work. He ends up being taught in the mystic arts after some stuff I'm too lazy to explain, and over time becomes The Sorcerer Supreme, and guards Earth from magical threats.
