2013 opening day vs the Giants. Kershaw starts. We go tied 0-0 into the bottom of the 8th. Kershaw steps into the box and smashes his only homeroom of his career into dead center field. Absolute legend. This man will have a statue at Dodger stadium no doubt

This was a great idea. Kershaw being interviewed by a teammate and someone he probably sees as a contemporary made for a more comfortable dialogue than what you see when he’s just getting grilled by beat reporters

Quick search on the Dexter Fowler thing... Fowler faced Kersh more than any other pitcher in his career, and Dex hit .392 off Kersh, with a .927 OPS. No homers, like Kersh eluded too, but my gosh. Dexter Fowler, take bow bro. That is nutty. Absolute menace facing Kersh in his prime while Dex was in Colorado from 2011-2013, and then 2015 on with the Cubs and Cardinals. That's a lot of opportunities, and the man did WELL.

16:45 It’s really cool to revisit this chat between two first ballot Hall of Famers now. Experiences and narratives change. Mookie, coming off a second World Series and asking Kersh about 2020, who explained it felt mostly like relief. Flash forward to this Post Season and that was Mookie. Coming off two first round exits in which he was terrible at the plate, he was clearly struggling. When it finally flipped, the relief he felt was so visible. It’s so much pressure when you’re THE guy and things go wrong.

I really hope he comes back in some capacity. If he needs shoulder surgery hopefully he gets it and just takes next year off. Then after than just show up every June for spring training in the minors and then pitch for the Dodgers July-October. He has earned the right to do that.

this is good, but ya'll should get two more cameras with tighter lenses getting the overs so you can cut away to close ups, and maybe a 4th on a super tight lens roving and getting details. it would cut together much better than just this wide, and it would have a bit more character to it.
