Clayton, no kidding that was a great video. I love how you plug the local shops, restaurants, no matter where you are. And don't you just hate it when you're out pan-fishing and those pesky walleye keep bothering you...lol.

Look for cover from the light whether that be structure or just deeper water (15ft ish depends though obviously). And yes, night time the bite turns on, a nuisance for catfishing thouh for sure.

Rockies have died off for some reason in my area of PA back in the 90's,but when I was a kid in the 80's I'd bring home multiple stringers of 10-12"+.They're the best eating fish in the water. A certain spinner fly in a couple colors either size 8 or 10 will smoke all other baits on them. I catch a few each year here now while catching Catfish bait but they all get released to hopefully help them to make a comeback.

Literally the easiest species to catch in our main lakes. It may take you 10min, 1hour, 10 hours, etc. To locate big schools. Hands down to this day the best fishing session I've ever had was 5:20am in algonquin park from shore literally less than 3min! I had all intentions of targetting 1 or 2 mega bites throwing 5"-8" chug'n spooks. Within the first 30mins I landed a big smallie and dropped another roughly the same size. It didnt take long for me to see the smallies were no longer on beach flats so I tied on a 1/2oz strike king Red Eye Shad in Delta Red. I absolutely bombed the crankbait off of the beach and slow rolled it until I found them. For roughly 90minutes to 120minutes it was Literally every single cast and they would bite in the exact same spot 90% of the time. After I wokeup all the campers with me talking to myself saying shit like "YOU FOUND EM, THERE'S ANOTHER ONE, WOOOHOOO". A Family had come down to the waters edge (father, mother, 2 sons and the eldest daughter), the father was very respectful of my space and wanted to know if I could share a spot or two to start with The two little boys were 100% dialed into my rod tip and anyone could see they wanted to try it out so bad but they were respectful. I explained to them that the school was quite a ways out so I casted for 1 brother and showed him how to retrieve the crankbait and *BOOM he gets rocked & lands his personal best Rockies. Anyway I did the same with the older son and though it took a few casts he also landed a few. My fav part was when the dad/all 3 kids began hinting that they'd appreciate me catching a few of them for their fish fry. I sat all 4 of them down and explained how long it takes for a smallmouth to hit 20" or more as well as the odds against them. I said legally I cant catch the fish for you two sons but I'll cast for for you and let you reel it in/trigger a bite which I did. Later that night the father said thanks again and showed me how they were cooking them. I tried a peice and I must admit it was tasty
