Another question Clay, I see in this trade you lost 20 dollars, does that mean you also lost the initial capital you used to finance this trade (which is the number of contracts by premium) if you didn’t lose it how much of it was lost? I hope my question make sense Mr. Clay.

Clay, I’m new to options and have a question. In this trade, I noticed you lost $20. Since one option contract is fixed at 100 shares, I understand that the cost of a single option contract is the premium multiplied by 100. What I’m trying to understand is whether the $20 loss means you lost the entire investment, or if it was affected by time decay. Can you clarify this for me?

I know via your TFP courses that nothing's 100% guaranteed.... but looking at a bunch of charts, seems that a common pattern in big-box stocks is... a deep pullback -> Green hammer -> 2-4 sideways candlesticks -> THEN upwards readjustment, if it's gonna happen. The other 30% is either a Fall-Off-Cliff, or LOOONG boring sideways candlestick train. And of course, the exact mirror image of this happens on rallies. But $800 in 30 min? Shoot man, I'd take that outcome any day ;) Thanks for the vid - I'm loving these daily trading vlogs. Nothing gets the ideas across quite like watching it happen in real time with real $$$ on the line.

When you are trading SPX and having a short trade while watching Clay trading SPY long with similar price action on both charts. I know totally unrelated but a bit nerve wrecking. I just went for a short scalp in real time while watching the video which was recorded but the charts had some similarity.

@@claytrader Fortunatelly I am located outside US so I have a bit different options how to trade SPX so I do not need to use such a large leverage. But Iwas trying to imagine what it would have been if I would use different size for my trades but as I scalp for one point only, and use wide stops and small enough positions it is not the same scale as you have. And then imagine having a similarly sized short while you were long and the couple minute undecision in the market.
