When you rototill the pack in the cow barn and add more shavings, does the pack the cows rest/sleep on heat up? I'm wondering if at 20 degrees (or what ever your temperatures are) is there biological activity to break down the organic matter and create heat, or do the days have to get warmer for the break down to occur? Love the videos!

I definitely generates heat now as it’s composting. When it gets really cold out the steam off the pack will fill the barn! The cows love the warmth

We normally milk right around 12 or so.

A small tractor with a bucket on would be handy around the farm save you changing over tractors all the time
